Introduction of the civil Russian alphabet by Peter I/History and note (ru)
[edit]Hi, I have put your page Introduction of the civil Russian alphabet by Peter I/History and note (ru) up for deletion as commons gallery pages are not meant for text. I have copied the text to the talkpage of Image:Peter 17.gif. Kind regards, Deadstar 12:55, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- I see. I din't know text is not allowed on gallery pages. Ok, the page can be deleted tranquilly now, since the text has been saved elsewhere.--Imz 13:15, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
SVG categories
[edit]Hi. Just like to say good work on categorising the russian maps. However please note that the "SVG maps of Russia" category is not part of the same category tree as the "Maps of Russia". Therefore an image can be in both. /Lokal_Profil 22:40, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for attention and the information! I didn't know that but actually I wouldn't remove a "Maps of Russia" label from an image unless it were in a subcategory of the Category:Maps of Russia. And since I feel there is a need to sort out the non-SVG images that have been superseded by the SVG ones, I put those SVG images that are already in the tree of the Category:Maps of Russia to the Category:categorized SVG maps of Russia. (It's in order to keep track of those SVG images for which we should check if there any non-SVG duplicates. These will be left in the plain Category:SVG maps of Russia.)--Imz 22:55, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK then I understand. I created a 2008-03 category as well. I'll populate it with svg locator maps once Zabaykalsky Krai gets an ISO code (or if I suspect that ther will be no ISO code in time. /Lokal_Profil 23:11, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you!--Imz 23:16, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Got a friend to create them automatically. See Category:Locator maps of federal subjects in Russia as of 2008-03 for the new maps. /Lokal_Profil 19:37, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks to your friend and you for the work! I've just finally finished the transition to 2008-01 maps at the Russian Wikipedia.--Imz 04:10, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
