Summary

[edit]
Description
English: PLASTIC BOTTLES rank in the TOP 10 WASTE ITEMS found on beaches!

Surfrider Europe's Ocean Initiatives program has complied a list of the Top 10 items found during waste collections along lakes, rivers and beaches. Despite increasing global efforts to limit their use, plastic bottles are one of them.

Each year the average European will consume about 73 bottles of water, making Europe the world's largest plastic waste producer with the equivalent of 990,000 tons annually.
