Vote

I'm a wikipedian since 2003, a bureaucrat on wp:fr and admin on wikibooks:fr and wikinews:fr. I'm participating to Commons since it exists and I'm very interested in copyright policies in different countries. As a french, I speak also german and english.

In my opinion, my background could be useful to improve respect for copyright laws and to get a legaly sure picture, movie and sound repository, so I hope you will vote for me. (Voting commenced 12:48 (UTC), 27 August 2006)

  3.  Support, our French admins seem strangely absent sometimes. pfctdayelise (translate?) 05:48, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  4.  Support; enough participation and is a sysop in several other places, proving that the user is trusted by many other communities. --tomf688 (talk - email) 21:35, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  5.  Support. Alphax (talk) 03:34, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  6.  Support, clearly a suitable candidate. That said, I would hope to see some activity on Commons...--Nilfanion 15:45, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Votes against

  1. A candidate should try to answer important questions that are asked. -Samulili 08:56, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  2. --Wiggum 15:12, 4 September 2006 (UTC) nearly inactive on commons[reply]
  3. --Juiced lemon 21:50, 7 September 2006 (UTC) I agree with Samulili and Wiggum.[reply]
  4. Hégésippe | ±Θ± 02:45, 10 September 2006 (UTC) – He has requested and got sysop status on French Wikinews and has no more admin activity there. His bureaucrat activity on French Wikipedia is also very low: [1], [2] and [3]. Would he add something on Commons as a sysop?[reply]
...and of course, this vote has no link with a personal conflict between us. As you can see here, wn:fr needs very low sysop activity (and the delete log is the biggest...). HC, tu es vraiment minable. Traroth 22:54, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

I would like to know what kind of maintenance jobs you have done so far and what kind of things you will do if you get admin rights. -Samulili 12:54, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like this too. I also think you are not very active, in the last 2 months, you made about 20 edits. Comments? / Fred Chess 20:18, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, Commons is not the project where I'm the most active. But I'm also not so active for the moment on the other places where I'm used to contribute. Fact is I have currently much work in my professionnal life, but I know situation will improve soon. To subject maintenance : I made mainly proposals for deletion for copyright reasons, for example the pictures of the Louvre pyramid, but I'm making also some categorization (but is this really maintenance, on Commons ?).
