Abandoned through truss bridge which formerly carried two tracks of the Philadelphia and Thorndale Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad across that railroad's Philadelphia to Harrisburg main line at Whitford, Pennnsylvania. The Philadelphia & Thorndale was part of the PRR system of "low-grade lines", heavily-built branches with minimal grades that allowed freight traffic to bypass congestion on main lines.
