Floyd Martin Thornton (often credited as F. Martin Thornton ) was an an American film director active in the United Kingdom in the 1910s and 1920s. Born Floyd Thornton Martin, he was one of the artists whose work was purchased in the first watercolor competition held by the Section of Fine Arts for the decoration of the Carville, Louisiana, Marine Hospital.
