Copyright status: File:LPJ 21 février 1904.jpg
editThis media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:LPJ 21 février 1904.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Re;
editI know, that's automatic categorization generated by flickr2commons tool. Files in the category Category:L'Espagne are being properly recategorised in the subcategory Category:Illustrations of L'Espagne by Gustave Doré. But, you know, three hundred files... it takes time. Thanks, anyway. Strakhov (talk) 09:47, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- I've just removed the category "Litography" from every remaining file in the by-now-not-so-properly-categorised-category "L'Espagne" with HotCat tool. It keeps needing work, anyways. :( Strakhov (talk) 09:57, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Vichy stamps
editWhere do you get the idea that Vichy stamps are any different than other creative products where the designer and engraver hold the copyright per the hatnote you placed in Category:Stamps of Vichy Government. Most (I have not checked them all) are created by the same designers and engravers whose French stamps are still copyright such as File:WIKITIMBRES.FR POSTE-1941-49.png by Jules Piel or File:WIKITIMBRES.FR POSTE-1944-3.png by Charles Paul Dufresne. 70 years has not passed since some of these stamps were produced and I am certain most of the designers and engravers did not suddenly die in 1944. Most of these stamps, as I had previously mentioned to you are still in copyright per the talkback link just above this post. Ww2censor (talk) 10:03, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- I support this Ww2censor's opinion. It's absolutely premature to upload the French stamps of the 1940s due to the definite copyright issues. --Michael Romanov (talk) 11:12, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- Actually I don't think any of these stamps were uploaded by Spiessens. Ww2censor (talk) 13:23, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- Indeed Ww2censor ! I won't take any risk to upload those images. But I am still waiting for the answer of La Poste authorities which I am in contact with. Yours, --Spiessens (talk) 14:14, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

Printer's marks vs Logos of publishing houses
editBonjour, j'ai vu que tu avais créé une nouvelle catégorie : Category:Printer's marks in France.
Il existe des catégories sous la forme Logos of publishing houses from XXX et d'autres Printer's marks in XXX. Y a-t-il une différence ? Aristoi (talk) 16:54, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

--Spiessens (talk) 15:04, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oui, la phototèque est dans mes projets.
