I guess that Puits délou.jpeg and Puits délou.Désert lybien.jpg are wrong name: go to those two pages and write {{badname|Image:Puits délou en Libye.jpeg}}. Then sysop sees that there is correct image available. --Tomia 16:13, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi. You placed the {{Badname}} tag on image Image:Puits délou.jpeg. Unfortunately there is not needed parameter given. umless you add the name of image with correct name, we cant delete the badname. Thanks --Zirland 07:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Atlas of World War II / Atlas of colonialism

Hi Alexandrin,

First of all, thank you for collaborating in making the Atlas. You filled the Atlas of World War II (as you did with the Atlas of Colonialism]]. Not all the maps you added to the entry have been uploaded to the commons. Could you please check that and upload them. Furthermore, I have some doubts about adding national maps to these entries. E.g. the map of the German invasion of Luxembourg or the maps of individual colonies. I would prefer (certainly for colonies) to only add them to the countries involved, maybe with a link to the country entries). What do you think about that? Thanks for uploading Image:Maroc.Village_Haut-Atlas.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Hi Alexandrin, I had to revert your edit which added this image to the category Category:Military architecture. This was a case of so-called overcategorization as this image was already within this category indirectly through Category:Pembroke Castle, Category:Castles in Wales, Category:Castles in the United Kingdom, Category:Castles by country, Category:Castles which is a sub-category of Category:Military architecture. Catégorisation

Bonjour,

Non, vous n'avez pas « supprimé » les catégories, puisque vous n'êtes pas admin. Vous avez tout simplement vidé celles-ci et vous ne les avez pas proposé à la suppression. Merci d'avoir la courtoisie de ce faire pour ne pas laisser des catégories vides traîner un peu partout.

On est tous des volontaires, et on n'a pas forcément le temps de repasser derrière un autre pour corriger ses erreurs.

Aussi, il est judicieux de rappeler qu'on ne peut pas renommer une catégorie : du coup, il faut créer une nouvelle catégorie et recatégoriser toutes les images avec le nom correct, puis proposer l'ancienne catégorie à la suppression. Ca fait beaucoup de manips pour ce qui est souvent une mauvaise traduction ou une faute de frappe...

Je suis désolée si j'ai l'air dure avec vous, mais il faut que vous comprenez qu'on ne peut pas faire n'importe quoi ; il faut travailler avec soin.

ITCZ

Dear user Alexandrin,

on which data is your work about the ITCZ based? Is this climatology of the ITCZ based on reanalysis? How did you determine the ITCZ? And is there any reference you can state? I am really interested in this topic, and found that different ITCZ climatologies look very different!

Bonsoir. Si c'est le mot copie qui figure dans le titre du fichier, qui pose problème je peux l'expliquer. Le dessin a été fait en plusieurs fois. Une des versions a été titrée copie par le logiciel de modification d'image. J'ai oublié d'effacer le mot copie sur le fichier avant importation. Maintenant si c'est pour d'autres raisons, je vous laisse maitre de faire ce que bon vous semble. --Alexandrin (talk) 17:03, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
