Search for $CP$ violation in D$^0$$\to$ K$^0_\mathrm{S}$K$^0_\mathrm{S}$ decays in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is reported for charge-parity CP violation in $ \mathrm{D^0}\to\mathrm{K^0_S}\mathrm{K^0_S} $ decays, using data collected in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV recorded by the CMS experiment in 2018. The analysis uses a dedicated data set that corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 41.6 fb$ ^{-1} $, which consists of about 10 billion events containing a pair of b hadrons, nearly all of which decay to charm hadrons. [...]

Performance of the CMS high-level trigger during LHC Run 2 / CMS Collaboration
The CERN LHC provided proton and heavy ion collisions during its Run 2 operation period from 2015 to 2018. Proton-proton collisions reached a peak instantaneous luminosity of 2.1 $ \times $ 10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1} $, twice the initial design value, at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV. [...]

Using graph neural networks to reconstruct charged pion showers in the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter / CMS HGCAL Collaboration
A novel method to reconstruct the energy of hadronic showers in the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) is presented. The HGCAL is a sampling calorimeter with very fine transverse and longitudinal granularity. [...]

Search for high-mass exclusive diphoton production with tagged protons in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for high-mass exclusive diphoton production via photon-photon fusion in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV in events where both protons survive the interaction. The analysis utilizes data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 103 fb$ ^{-1} $ collected in 2016--2018 with the central CMS detector and the CMS and TOTEM precision proton spectrometer (PPS). Search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson to a pair of pseudoscalars in the $ \mu\mu\mathrm{b}\mathrm{b} $ and $ \tau\tau\mathrm{b}\mathrm{b} $ final states / CMS Collaboration
A search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson (H) with a mass of 125 GeV to a pair of light pseudoscalars $ a_{1} $ is performed in final states where one pseudoscalar decays to two b quarks and the other to a pair of muons or $ \tau $ leptons. A data sample of proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$ ^{-1} $ recorded with the CMS detector is analyzed. [...]

Observation of the $ \Lambda_{b}^{0}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\,\Xi^{-}\mathrm{K^+} $ decay / CMS Collaboration
Using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb$ ^{-1} $ collected by the CMS experiment at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV, the $ \Lambda_{b}^{0}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\,\Xi^{-}\mathrm{K^+} $ decay is observed for the first time, with a statistical significance exceeding 5 standard deviations. The relative branching fraction, with respect to the $ \Lambda_{b}^{0}\to\psi(2\mathrm{S})\Lambda $ decay, is measured to be $ \mathcal{B}(\Lambda_{b}^{0}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\,\Xi^{-}\mathrm{K^+})/\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_{b}^{0}\to\psi(2\mathrm{S})\Lambda) = [ $ 3.38 $ \pm $ 1.02 $ \pm $ 0.61 $ \pm $ 0.03 $ ]$%, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is related to the uncertainties in $ \mathcal{B}(\psi(2\mathrm{S})\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\,\pi^{+}\pi^{-}) $ and $ \mathcal{B}(\Xi^{-}\to\Lambda\pi^{-}) $..
