Three-Dimensional Triplet Tracking for LHC and Future High Rate Experiments / Schöning, Andre (Heidelberg U.)
The hit combinatorial problem is a main challenge for track reconstruction and triggering at high rate experiments. At hadron colliders the dominant fraction of hits is due to low momentum tracks for which multiple scattering (MS) effects dominate the hit resolution. [...]

The performance of the CMS Pixel Detector and the Primary Vertex Finding Author(s): / Cucciarelli, S (Basel U.)
The CMS Pixel detector Layout, coverage and hit resolution are presented. Two algorithms of primary vertex finding based on tracks reconstructed with three pixel hits are described. [...]

Track reconstruction, primary vertex finding and seed generation with the Pixel Detector / Cucciarelli, Susanna ; Konecki, Marcin ; Kotlinski, Danek ; Todorov, Teddy
The Pixel Detector is the innermost detector of the tracking system of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment. It provides the most precise measurements which contribute to the full track reconstruction. [...]

A track finding algorithm based on pixel detector for the ATLAS second level trigger / Baratella, A ; Dameri, M ; Morettini, P ; Parodi, F
A fast track reconstruction algorithm for the ATLAS second level trigger is presented. The timing performance (3.5 ms for a jet reconstruction at low luminosity) is satisfactory; the transverse impact parameter resolution (75 mu m) is sufficient to perform an on- line b-tagging, and the full three-dimensional reconstruction produces good seeds for more sophisticated track searches. Estimation of tracker material budget with triplet method /CMS Collaboration
A novel method for measuring in situ the material budget of a silicon tracker is presented. The method relies on using three consecutive hits, or a triplet, along a reconstructed track, measuring the sagitta in this system and extracting the radiation length locally from the scattering angle. [...]
