(INFN, Ferrara ; Ferrara U.) ; Coco, V. (CERN) ; Collins, P. (CERN) ; Pinto, P. Costa (CERN) ; De Angelis, C. (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) ; Di Nezza, P. (Frascati) et al.
The recently installed internal gas target at LHCb presents exceptional opportunities for an extensive physics program for heavy-ion, hadron, spin, and astroparticle physics. A storage cell placed in the LHC primary vacuum, an advanced Gas Feed System, the availability of multi-TeV proton and ion beams and the recent upgrade of the LHCb detector make this project unique worldwide. Measurement of $\Lambda_b^0$, $\Lambda_c^+$ and $\Lambda$ decay parameters using $\Lambda_b^0 \to \Lambda_c^+h^-$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A comprehensive study of the angular distributions in the bottom-baryon decays $\it{\Lambda}^\mathrm{0}_b\to\it{\Lambda}_c^+ h^-(h=\pi, K)$, followed by $\it{\Lambda}_c^+\to\it{\Lambda} h^+$ with $\it{\Lambda}\to \it{p} \pi^-$ or $\it{\Lambda}_c^+\to\it{p}\it{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ decays, is performed using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 $\mathrm{Te\kern -0.1em V}$. The decay parameters and the associated charge-parity ($CP$) asymmetries are measured, with no significant $CP$ violation observed. [...]

Probing Strangeness Hadronization with Event-by-Event Production of Multistrange Hadrons / ALICE Collaboration
This Letter presents the first measurement of event-by-event fluctuations of the net number (difference between the particle and antiparticle multiplicities) of multistrange hadrons $\Xi^-$ and $\overline{\Xi}^+$ and its correlation with the net-kaon number using the data collected by the ALICE Collaboration in pp, p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=5.02\ \mathrm{TeV}$. The statistical hadronization model with a correlation over three units of rapidity between hadrons having the same and opposite strangeness content successfully describes the results. [...]

A measurement of the time-dependent ratio of the $D^0\rightarrow K^+\pi^-$ to $\overline{D}^0\rightarrow K^+\pi^-$ decay rates is reported. The analysis uses a sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the LHCb experiment from 2015 through 2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Measurement of the branching fraction ratios $R(D^+)$ and $R(D^{*+})$ using muonic $\tau$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
The branching fraction ratios of $\kern 0.18em \overline{\kern -0.18em B}{}^0\to D^+\tau^-\overline{\nu}_{\tau}$ and $\kern 0.18em \overline{\kern -0.18em B}{}^0\to D^{*+}\tau^-\overline{\nu}_{\tau}$ decays are measured with respect to their muonic counterparts, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13\,\text{TeV}$. The reconstructed final states are formed by combining $D^+$ mesons with $\tau^-\to\mu^-\overline{\nu}_{\mu}\nu_{\tau}$ candidates, where the $D^+$ is reconstructed via the $D^+\to K^-\pi^+\pi^+$ decay. Measurement of $\Omega^{0}_{\rm c}$ baryon production and branching-fraction ratio ${\rm BR}(\Omega^0_{\rm c} \rightarrow \Omega^{-}{\rm e}^{+}\nu_{\rm e})/ {\rm BR}(\Omega^0_{\rm c} \rightarrow \Omega^{-}{\pi}^{+})$ in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The inclusive production of the charm-strange baryon $\Omega^0_{\rm c}$ is measured for the first time via its semileptonic decay into $\Omega^{-}\rm e^{+}\nu_{e}$ at midrapidity ($|y|<0.8$) in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) differential cross section multiplied by the branching ratio is presented in the interval $2<p_{\rm T}<12$ GeV/$c$. [...]

Particle production as a function of charged-particle flattenicity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
This paper reports the first measurement of the transverse momentum ($p_{\mathrm{T}}$) spectra of primary charged pions, kaons, (anti)protons, and unidentified particles as a function of the charged-particle flattenicity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV. Flattenicity is a novel event shape observable that is measured in the pseudorapidity intervals covered by the V0 detector, $2.8<\eta<5.1$ and $-3.7<\eta<-1.7$. [...]

Studying the interaction between charm and light-flavor mesons / ALICE Collaboration
The two-particle momentum correlation functions between charm mesons ($\mathrm{D^{*\pm}}$ and $\mathrm{D}^\pm$) and charged light-flavor mesons ($\pi^{\pm}$ and K$^{\pm}$) in all charge-combinations are measured for the first time by the ALICE Collaboration in high-multiplicity proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} =13$ TeV. For $\mathrm{DK}$ and $\mathrm{D^*}\mathrm{K}$ pairs, the experimental results are in agreement with theoretical predictions of the residual strong interaction based on quantum chromodynamics calculations on the lattice and chiral effective field theory. Exploring the Strong Interaction of Three-Body Systems at the LHC / ALICE Collaboration
Deuterons are atomic nuclei composed of a neutron and a proton held together by the strong interaction. Unbound ensembles composed of a deuteron and a third nucleon have been investigated in the past using scattering experiments and they constitute a fundamental reference in nuclear physics to constrain nuclear interactions and the properties of nuclei. [...]

Measurement of the effective leptonic weak mixing angle / LHCb Collaboration
Using $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$~TeV, recorded by the LHCb experiment between 2016 and 2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $5.4$~fb$^{-1}$, the forward-backward asymmetry in the $pp \to Z/\gamma^{*} \to \mu^+\mu^-$ process is measured. The measurement is carried out in ten intervals of the difference between the muon pseudorapidities, within a fiducial region covering dimuon masses between $66$ and $116$ GeV, muon pseudorapidities between $2.0$ and $4.5$ and muon transverse momenta above $20$ GeV.
