Measurement of the $^{244}$ Cm and $^{246}$ Cm Neutron-Induced Cross Sections at the n_TOF Facility
/ Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Kimura, A (JAERI, Tokai) ; Mendoza, E (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Cano-Ott, D (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, Catania) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Babiano-Suarez, V (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN ; Vienna, Tech. U.) et al.
The neutron capture reactions of the$^{244}$ Cm and$^{246}$ Cm isotopes open the path for the formation of heavier Cm isotopes and of heavier elements such as Bk and Cf in a nuclear reactor. In addition, both isotopes belong to the minor actinides with a large contribution to the decay heat and to the neutron emission in irradiated fuels proposed for the transmutation of nuclear waste and fast critical reactors. Higgs-Pair Production via Gluon Fusion at Hadron Colliders: NLO QCD Corrections
/ Baglio, J. (CERN) ; Campanario, F. (Valencia U., IFIC ; KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Glaus, S. (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP ; KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Mühlleitner, M. (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Ronca, J. (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Spira, M. (PSI, Villigen) ; Streicher, J. (Tubingen U.)
Higgs-pair production via gluon fusion is the dominant production mechanism of Higgs-boson pairs at hadron colliders. In this work, we present details of our numerical determination of the full next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD corrections to the leading top-quark loops. [...]

Pseudoscalar MSSM Higgs Production at NLO SUSY-QCD
/ Bagnaschi, Emanuele (CERN) ; Fritz, Lukas (PSI, Villigen ; Zurich U.) ; Liebler, Stefan (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Mühlleitner, Margarete (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Nguyen, Thanh Tien Dat (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Spira, Michael (PSI, Villigen)
One of the most important mechanisms at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for the production of the pseudoscalar Higgs boson of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is the loop-induced gluon fusion process $gg\to A$. The higher-order QCD corrections have been obtained a long time ago and turned out to be large. [...]

New particle formation from isoprene under upper-tropospheric conditions
/ Shen, Jiali (Helsinki U.) ; Russell, Douglas M (Frankfurt U., FIAS) ; DeVivo, Jenna (Carnegie Mellon U.) ; Kunkler, Felix (Mainz, Max Planck Inst.) ; Baalbaki, Rima (Helsinki U.) ; Mentler, Bernhard (Innsbruck U.) ; Scholz, Wiebke (Innsbruck U.) ; Yu, Wenjuan (Helsinki U.) ; Caudillo-Plath, Lucía (Frankfurt U., FIAS) ; Sommer, Eva (CERN ; Vienna U.) et al.
Abstract
Aircraft observations have revealed ubiquitous new particle formation in the tropical upper troposphere over the Amazon1,2 and the Atlantic and Pacific oceans3,4. Although the vapours involved remain unknown, recent satellite observations have revealed surprisingly high night-time isoprene mixing ratios of up to 1 part per billion by volume (ppbv) in the tropical upper troposphere5. Neutron capture cross section measurements are of fundamental importance for the study of the slow process of neutron capture, so called s-process. This mechanism is responsible for the formation of most elements heavier than iron in the Universe. [...]
