A CLIC Damping Wiggler Prototype at ANKA: Commissioning and Preparations for a Beam Dynamics Experimental Program / Bernhard, Axel (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Bragin, Alexey (Novosibirsk, IYF) ; Casalbuoni, Sara (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Ferracin, Paolo (CERN) ; Garcia Fajardo, Laura (CERN) ; Gerstl, Stefan (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Gethmann, Julian (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Grau, Andreas (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Huttel, Erhard (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Khrushchev, Sergey (Novosibirsk, IYF) et al.
In a collaboration between CERN, BINP and KIT a prototype of a superconducting damping wiggler for the CLIC damping rings has been installed at the ANKA synchrotron light source. On the one hand, the foreseen experimental program aims at validating the technical design of the wiggler, particularly the conduction cooling concept applied in its cryostat design, in a long-term study. Effects of the 2.9 T superconducting wiggler on the electron beam in the 2.5 GeV standard operation mode have been measured and compared with theoretical predictions. [...]

The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) will require ultralow emittance electron and positron beams. Such emittance will be achieved by radiative damping in the CLIC damping rings that will be realized by a use of high-field short-period superconducting damping wigglers. [...]

To achieve high luminosity at the collision point of the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) the normalized horizontal and vertical emittances of the electron and positron beams must be reduced to 500 nm and 4 nm before the beams enter the 1.5TeV linear accelerators. An effective way to accomplish ultra-low emittances with only small effects on the electron polarization is using damping rings operating at 2.86 GeV equipped with superconducting wiggler magnets. Transverse Tunes Determination from Mixed BPM Data / Zisopoulos, Panagiotis (CERN) ; Antoniou, Fanouria (CERN) ; Hertle, Edmund (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Müller, Anke-Susanne (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Papaphilippou, Yannis (CERN)
Decoherence due to non-zero chromaticity and/or amplitude dependent tune-shift, but also damping mechanisms can affect the accurate tune determination by leaving a limited number of turns for frequency analysis of the turn by turn (TbT) position data. In order to by-pass these problems, Fourier analysis of mixed TBT data from all BPMs can be employed. [...]

For the accelerator-based future of high energy physics at the energy frontier, CERN started to investigate a 92 km circumference Future Circular Collider (FCC), as e⁺/e⁻ collider the FCC-ee will operate at beam energies up to 182.5 GeV. Beside the machine operational aspects, beam instrumentation will play a key role in verifying and optimizing the machine to achieve the ambitious beam parameters and quality. [...]

Overall Injection Strategy for FCC-ee / Ogur, Salim (CERN) ; Aiba, Masamitsu (PSI, Villigen) ; Antoniou, Fanouria (CERN) ; Barnyakov, Alexey (Novosibirsk, IYF) ; Chaikovska, Iryna (Orsay, LAL) ; Charles, Tessa (CERN) ; Chehab, Robert (Orsay, LAL) ; Etisken, Ozgur (Ankara U.) ; Furukawa, Kazuro (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Härer, Bastian (CERN) et al.
The Future Circular electron-positron Collider (FCC-ee) requires fast cycling injectors with very low extraction emittances to provide and maintain extreme luminosities at center of mass energy varying between 91.2-385 GeV in the collider. For this reason, the whole injector complex table is prepared by putting into consideration the minimum fill time from scratch, bootstrapping, transmission efficiency as well as store time of the beams in synchrotrons to approach equilibrium emittances.
