/ Moneta, L ; Musolino, G ; Spagnolo, P
/ALEPH Collaboration
sing about 4 million hadronic Z decays recorded with the Aleph detector, the lifetime of the b baryons has been measured using two independent data samples. From a maximum likelihood fit to the impact parameter distribution of leptons in 1085 Lambda-lepton combinations containing a b baryon sample of 719 decays the measured b baryon lifetime is \tau = 1.18 \pm 0.08(stat) \pm 0.07 (syst) ps The lifetime of the Lambda_b baryon from a maximum likelihood fit to the proper time distribution of 193 Lambda_c-lepton candidates is \tau_{\Lambda_b} = 1.21^{+0.13}_{-0.12}{stat}) \pm 0.04 {syst} ps [...]

$b$-hadron lifetime measurements with exclusive $b\to J/\psi X$ decays reconstructed in the 2010 data
/LHCb Collaboration
We report on absolute lifetime measurements in the exclusive decays $B^+ \to J/\psi K^+$, $B^0 \to J/\psi K^{*0}$, $B^0 \to J/\psi K_S$, $B_s^0 \to J/\psi \phi$ and $\Lambda_b \to J/\psi \Lambda$ using 36$pb^{-1}$ of data collected in 2010 with the LHCb detector and a muon trigger at a centre-of-mass energy of $7 TeV$. From a maximum likelihood fit to the proper time distribution of fully reconstructed candidates in each decay mode, we measure \begin{align} \tau(B^+ \to J/\psi K^+)& = & 1.689 \pm 0.022 (stat.) \pm 0.047 (syst.) ps\,,&\\ \tau(B^0 \to J/\psi K^{*0}) & = & 1.512 \pm 0.032 (stat.) \pm 0.042 (syst.) ps\,,&\\ \tau(B^0 \to J/\psi K_S) & = & 1.558 \pm 0.056 (stat.) \pm 0.022 (syst.) ps\,,&\\ \tau^{\rm single}(B_s^0 \to J/\psi \phi) & = & 1.447 \pm 0.064 (stat.) \pm 0.056 (syst.) ps\,,&\\ \tau(\Lambda_b \to J/\psi \Lambda) & = & 1.353 \pm 0.108 (stat.) \pm 0.035 (syst.) ps\,, & \end{align} where $\tau^{\rm single}(B_s^0 \to J/\psi \phi)$ is the lifetime measured with $B_s^0 \to J/\psi \phi$ using a single exponential to model the proper time distribution, i.e., ignoring the non-zero decay-width difference of the $B_s^0$ system..

Precision lifetime measurements of $\mathrm{b}$ hadrons reconstructed in final states with a $\mathrm{J}/\psi$ meson
/CMS Collaboration
We present measurements of the lifetimes of the $\mathrm{B^0}$, $\mathrm{B_{s}^0}$, $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^{0}$, and $\mathrm{B}_\mathrm{c}^{+}$ hadrons using the decay channels $\mathrm{B}^{0}\to \mathrm{J}/\psi \mathrm{K}^{*}(892)^{0}$, $\mathrm{B}^{0}\to \mathrm{J}/\psi \mathrm{K_{S}}$, $\mathrm{B_{s}^0} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \pi^{+} \pi^{-}$, $\mathrm{B_{s}^0} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \phi(1020)$, $\Lambda_{\mathrm{b}}^{0} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \Lambda$, and $\mathrm{B}_\mathrm{c}^{+} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi \pi^{+}$. The data sample, corresponding to $19.7~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, was collected from proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8~\mathrm{TeV}$ using dedicated triggers to select oppositely charged muons in the $\mathrm{J}/\psi$ mass region. The measured values of lifetimes in $\mu $m are $c\tau_{B^0\to J/\psi K^*(892)^0}=453.0\pm 1.6$ (stat) $\pm 1.8$ (syst),
$c\tau_{B^0\to J/\psi K^0_s}=457.8\pm 2.7$ (stat) $\pm 2.8$ (syst), $c\tau_{B^0_s\to J/\psi\phi}=443.9\pm 2.0(stat)\pm 1.5$ (syst),
$c\tau_{B^0_s\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-}=502.7 \pm 10.2$ (stat) $\pm 3.4$ (syst),
$c\tau_{\Lambda^0_b\to J/\psi\Lambda^0}=442.9 \pm 8.2$ (stat) $\pm 2.8$ (syst), $c\tau_{B^+_c\to J/\psi\pi^+}=162.3 \pm 7.8 \pm 4.2$ and
the $\Lambda_b^0$ polarization $P=0.00 \pm 0.06 (stat) \pm 0.06(syst)$ along with asymmetry parameter
$ \alpha_1=0.14 \pm 0.14$ (stat) $\pm 0.10$ (syst)..

We present a combination of the measurements of the $pp \to t\overline{t}$ production cross section at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV using data collected by the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The channels included in the combination are single lepton ($e/\mu$+jets), dilepton ($ee$, $\mu\mu$, $e\mu$), tau ($\mu \tau$), and fully hadronic decays [...]
