/ Giusti, Davide (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3) ; Lubicz, Vittorio (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3) ; Martinelli, Guido (Rome U.) ; Sanfilippo, Francesco (INFN, Rome3) ; Simula, Silvano (INFN, Rome3)
In this contribution we present a lattice calculation of the leading-order electromagnetic and strong isospin-breaking (IB) corrections to the quark-connected hadronic-vacuum-polarization (HVP) contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The results are obtained adopting the RM123 approach in the quenched-QED approximation and using the QCD gauge configurations generated by the ETM Collaboration with $N_f = 2+1+1$ dynamical quarks, at three values of the lattice spacing ($a \simeq 0.062, 0.082, 0.089$ fm), at several lattice volumes and with pion masses between $\simeq 210$ and $\simeq 450$ MeV. HVP contribution of the light quarks to the muon $(g - 2)$ including isospin-breaking corrections with Twisted-Mass fermions
/ Giusti, Davide (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3) ; Lubicz, Vittorio (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3) ; Martinelli, Guido (Rome U. ; INFN, Rome) ; Sanfilippo, Francesco (INFN, Rome3) ; Simula, Silvano (INFN, Rome3) ; Tarantino, Cecilia (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3)
We present a preliminary lattice calculation of the leading-order electromagnetic and strong isospin-breaking corrections to the Hadronic Vacuum Polarization (HVP) contribution of the light quarks to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The results are obtained in the quenched-$QED$ approximation using the $QCD$ gauge configurations generated by the European Twisted Mass Collaboration (ETMC) with $N_f = 2 + 1 + 1$ dynamical quarks, at three values of the lattice spacing varying from $0.089$ to $0.062 ~ \mbox{fm}$, at several lattice volumes and with pion masses in the range $M_\pi \simeq 220 \div 490 ~ \mbox{MeV}$..

We present our lattice QCD result for the long-distance part of the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution, $(a_\mu^{\rm hvp})^{\rm LD}$, to the muon $g-2$ in the time-momentum representation. [...]

We report the first lattice QCD calculation of the hadronic vacuum polarization disconnected contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment at physical pion mass. The calculation uses a refined noise-reduction technique which enabled the control of statistical uncertainties at the desired level with modest computational effort. [...]

The R&D; work reported in this paper has been devoted to the production and test of pixelated resistive micromegas detectors able to track particles in a high-rate environment, up to 10 MHz/cm$^2$, keeping a stable gain and a good spatial resolution. To pursue our goal, we had to reduce the occupancy by increasing the detector granularity and this has been done by changing the read-out anodes from the usual strips to pads. [...]
