Charge collection efficiency recovery in heavily irradiated silicon detectors operated at cryogenic temperatures / RD39 Collaboration
The charge collection efficiency (CCE) of high resistivity silicon detectors, previously neutron irradiated up to $2 \times 10^{15} \rm{n/cm}^2$, was measured at different cryogenic temperatures and different bias voltages. In order to study reverse annealing (RA) effects, a few samples were heated to 80°C and kept at room temperature for several months after irradiation. [...]

In current particle physics experiments, silicon strip detectors are widely used as part of the inner tracking layers. A foreseeable large-scale application for such detectors consists of the luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the super-LHC or sLHC, where silicon detectors with extreme radiation hardness are required. Search for neutral MSSM Higgs bosons at LEP / ALEPH Collaboration
The four LEP collaborations, ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL, have searched for the neutral Higgs bosons which are predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The data of the four collaborations are statistically combined and examined for their consistency with the background hypothesis and with a possible Higgs boson signal. [...]
