/ Schell, Juliana (CERN ; U. Duisburg-Essen) ; Lupascu, Doru C (U. Duisburg-Essen) ; Carbonari, Artur Wilson (IPEN, Sao Paulo) ; Mansano, Ronaldo Domingues (U. Sao Paulo (main)) ; Dang, Thien Thanh (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Vianden, Reiner (Bonn U., HISKP)
Here we report time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) results of Co-doped SnO2 thin films. Making use of stable Co and radioactive 111In implanted at the Bonn Radioisotope Separator with energies of 80 keV and 160 keV, respectively, it was possible to study the dopant incorporation and its lattice location during annealing. Cd and In-doping in thin film SnO2
/ Schell, Juliana (CERN ; Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Lupascu, Doru C (Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Wilson Carbonari, Artur (Sao Paulo U., FFCLRP) ; Domingues Mansano, Ronaldo (Sao Paulo U., FFCLRP) ; S Freitas, Rafael (Sao Paulo U., FFCLRP) ; Nuno Gonçalves, João (Aveiro U.) ; Thanh Dang, Thien (Bonn U.) ; Vianden, Reiner (Bonn U.)
In this paper, we investigate the effects of doping in the local structure of SnO2 by measuring the hyperfine interactions at impurity nuclei using the Time Differential Perturbed Gamma-Gamma Angular Correlation (TDPAC) method in addition to density functional theory simulations. The hyperfine field parameters have been probed as a function of the temperature in thin film samples. [...]

Duisburg-Essen) ; Carbonari, Artur Wilson (IPEN, Sao Paulo) ; Domingues Mansano, Ronaldo (Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo) ; Souza Ribeiro Junior, Ibere (IPEN, Sao Paulo) ; Dang, Thien Thanh (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Anusca, Irina (U. The local environment in titanium dioxide was studied by the time dependent perturbed $\gamma\gamma$ angular correlation of $^{111}In/^{111}Cd$ and $^{181}Hf/^{181}Ta$ at the Helmholtz-Institut fur Strahlen-und Kernphysik, Bonn. An introduction to the implantation methodologies performed at the Bonn Radioisotope Separator is presented. [...]

Room-Temperature $^{181}$Ta(TiO$_2$): An e-γ TDPAC Study
/ Yap, Ian Chang Jie (Gottingen U., II. Phys. Inst.) ; Schell, Juliana (CERN ; Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Dang, Thien Thanh (Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Noll, Cornelia (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Beck, Reinhard (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Köster, Ulli (Laue-Langevin Inst.) ; Mansano, Ronaldo (Sao Paulo U.) ; Hofsäss, Hans Christian (Gottingen U., II. Phys. Inst.)
In this work, we report on the hyperfine parameters of the foreign 181Ta probe in the rutile structure of the single crystal TiO2 using the e−γ and γ−γ time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) technique. We implanted 181Hf ions into a sample of single crystal rutile TiO2 in the Bonn Isotope Separator. [...]

The Local Exploration of Magnetic Field Effects in Semiconductors
/ Dang, Thien Thanh (Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Schell, Juliana (Duisburg-Essen U. ; CERN) ; Beck, Reinhard (Bonn U.) ; Noll, Cornelia (Bonn U.) ; Lupascu, Doru C (Duisburg-Essen U.)
This study reports on the local exploration of magnetic field effects in semiconductors, including silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), gallium arsenide (GaAs), and indium phosphide (InP) using the time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) technique. TDPAC measurements were carried out under external magnetic fields with strengths of 0.48 T and 2.1 T at room temperature, and 77 K following the implantation of 111In (111Cd) probes. [...]

We present a study of TiO$_2$ single crystals from the point of view of the dopant atom that simultaneously behaves as the probing element. We used gamma-gamma time dependent perturbed angular correlations working with selected tracer elements ($^{111}$In/ $^{111}$Cd, $^{111m}$Cd/ $^{111}$Cd) together to investigate the different behavior of Cd and In dopants, particularly their interaction with point defects in the TiO$_2$ lattice. In this paper, we present a study of the temperature-dependent characteristics of electromagnetic fields at the atomic scale in multiferroic bismuth ferrite (BiFeO$_3$ or BFO). The study was performed using time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) spectroscopy on implanted 111In (111Cd) probes over a wide temperature range. [...]

Incorporation of Cd-Doping in SnO$_2$
/ Schell, J (CERN ; Duisburg-Essen U.) ; Dang, T T (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Carbonari, A W (IPEN, Sao Paulo)
Tuning the electrical properties of materials by controlling their doping content has been
utilized for decades in semiconducting oxides. Here, an atomistic view is successfully employed to
obtain local information on the charge distribution and point defects in Cd-doped SnO$_2$. [...]

Dynamic quadrupole interactions in semiconductors
/ Dang, Thien Thanh (Bonn U., HISKP) ; Schell, Juliana (CERN ; U. Duisburg-Essen) ; Lupascu, Doru C (Duisburg U. ; U. Duisburg-Essen) ; Vianden, Reiner (Bonn U., HISKP)
The time differential perturbed angular correlation, TDPAC, technique has been used for several decades to study electric quadrupole hyperfine interactions in semiconductors such as dynamic quadrupole interactions (DQI) resulting from after-effects of the nuclear decay as well as static quadrupole interactions originating from static defects around the probe nuclei such as interstitial ions, stresses in the crystalline structure, and impurities. Nowadays, the quality of the available semiconductor materials is much better, allowing us to study purely dynamic interactions. [...]
