Polarized and un-polarized $\mathcal{R}_{K^*}$ in and beyond the SM / Ahmed, Ishtiaq (COMSATS, Islamabad ; CERN) ; Shafaq, Saba (Int. Islamic U., Islamabad) ; Aslam, M. Jamil (Quaid-i-Azam U.) ; Ishaq, Saadi (NUST, Islamabad)
The Standard Model (SM) is lepton flavor universal, and the recent measurements of lepton flavor universality in $B \to (K,K^*)\ell^{+}\ell^{-}$, for $\ell = \mu, \; e$, decays now lie close to the SM predictions. [...]

Looking forward to Lepton-flavor-violating ALPs / Calibbi, Lorenzo (Nankai U.) ; Redigolo, Diego (INFN, Florence ; Florence U. ; CERN) ; Ziegler, Robert (Karlsruhe U., ITP) ; Zupan, Jure (Cincinnati U.)
We assess the status of past and future experiments on lepton flavor violating (LFV) muon and tau decays into a light, invisible, axion-like particle (ALP), $a$. We propose a new experimental setup for MEG II, the MEGII-fwd, with a forward calorimeter placed downstream from the muon stopping target. [...]

Explaining the Flavor Anomalies with a Vector Leptoquark (Moriond 2019 update) / Crivellin, Andreas (PSI, Villigen ; Zurich U.) ; Saturnino, Francesco (U. Bern, AEC)
Several experiments revealed intriguing hints for lepton flavor universality (LFU) violating new physics (NP) in semi-leptonic $B$ meson decays, mainly in $b \to c \tau \nu$ and $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ transitions at the $3-5\,\sigma$ level. Leptoquarks (LQ) are prime candidates to address these anomalies as they contribute to semi-leptonic decays already at tree level while effects in other flavor observables, agreeing with the standard model (SM), are loop suppressed. [...]

A flavor dependent gauge symmetry, Predictive radiative seesaw and LHCb anomalies / Ko, P. (CQUeST, Seoul ; Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul) ; Nomura, Takaaki (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul) ; Okada, Hiroshi (NCTS, Hsinchu)
We propose a predictive radiative seesaw model at one-loop level with a flavor dependent gauge symmetry $U(1)_{xB_3-xe-\mu+\tau}$ and Majorana fermion dark matter. For the neutrino mass matrix, we obtain an $A_1$ type texture (with two zeros) that provides us several predictions such as the normal ordering for the neutrino masses. [...]

Decay study of <math><mmultiscripts><mi>Be</mi><mprescripts/><none/><mn>11</mn></mmultiscripts></math> with an optical time-projection chamberDecay study of $^{11}$Be with an Optical TPC detector / ISOLDE Collaboration
The $\beta$ decay of one-neutron halo nucleus $^{11}$Be was investigated using the Warsaw Optical Time Projection Chamber (OTPC) detector to measure $\beta$-delayed charged particles. The results of two experiments are reported [...]

On Light Resonance Interpretations of the B Decay Anomalies / Bishara, Fady (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Haisch, Ulrich (CERN ; Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN)
We sketch a novel method to search for light di-leptonic resonances by exploiting precision measurements of Drell-Yan production. Motivated by the recent hints of lepton flavour universality violation in $B \to K^{\ast} \ell^+ \ell^-$, we illustrate our proposal by studying the case of spin-1 resonances that couple to muons and have masses in the range of a few GeV. $B$ decay anomalies from nonabelian local horizontal symmetry / Cline, James M. (CERN ; McGill U.) ; Martin Camalich, Jorge (CERN)
Recent anomalies in $B\to K^{(*)}\ell\ell$ meson decays are consistent with exchange of a heavy $Z'$ vector boson. Here we try to connect such new physics to understanding the origin of flavor, by gauging generation number. [...]

Lepton-flavour violating $B$ decays in generic $Z'$ models / Crivellin, Andreas (CERN) ; Hofer, Lars (Barcelona, Autonoma U.) ; Matias, Joaquim (Barcelona, Autonoma U.) ; Nierste, Ulrich (KIT, Karlsruhe, TTP) ; Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U.) ; Rosiek, Janusz (Warsaw U.)
LHCb has reported deviations from the SM expectations in $B\to K^* \mu^+\mu^-$ angular observables, in $B_s\to\phi\mu^+\mu^-$ and in ratio $R(K)=Br[B\to K \mu^+\mu^-]/Br[B\to K e^+e^-]$. For all three decays, a heavy neutral gauge boson mediating $b\to s\mu^+\mu^-$ transitions is a prime candidate for an explanation. [...]

Overview of $B \to K^{(*)}\ell \ell$ Theoretical Calculations and Uncertainties / Mahmoudi, Farvah (IP2I, Lyon ; CERN ; IUF, Paris) ; Monceaux, Yann (IP2I, Lyon)
The search for New Physics (NP) beyond the Standard Model (SM) has been a central focus of particle physics, including in the context of $B$-meson decays involving $b \to s \ell \ell$ transitions. These transitions, mediated by flavour-changing neutral currents, are highly sensitive to small NP effects due to their suppression in the SM. [...]
