Study of jet production in p-N interactions at $sqrt{s} \approx 500 GeV$ in EAS multicore events / EAS-TOP Collaboration
The cross section for large p/sub t/ jet production for transverse momentum 10<or=p/sub t/<or=20 GeV/c and rapidity 1.6<or= eta <or=2.6 in p-N (p-`air') interactions is studied from the analysis of multicore extensive air showers recorded in the EAS-TOP calorimeter. The projectiles are the leading particles interacting at atmospheric depths between 250 and 480 cm/sup -2/, the CMS energy of interaction being square root (s) approximately=500 GeV. [...]

Production of D* mesons in photon-photon collisions at $\sqrt{s}_{ee}$ = 183 GeV and 189 GeV using the OPAL detector at LEP / Patt, J (Fakultät für Phys, Freiburg Univ)
The inclusive production of D*/sup +or-/ mesons in photon-photon collisions has been measured using the OPAL detector at LEP at e/sup +/e/sup -/ centre-of-mass energies square root (s/sub ee/) of 183 and 189 GeV. The D*/sup +/ mesons are reconstructed in their decay to D /sup 0/ pi /sup +/ with the D/sup 0/ observed in the two decay modes K/sup -/ pi /sup +/ and K/sup -/ pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ pi /sup +/. Inclusive Lambda (1520) production in 100 GeV p Be interactions / Daum, C ; Bailey, R ; Bardsley, D G ; Blanar, G J ; Blum, W ; Bosman, M ; Cerrada, M ; Chabaud, V ; Damerell, C ; Dietl, H et al.
The reaction pBe to Lambda (1520)X has been measured at 100 GeV incident momentum in the kinematic range 0.15<x<0.35 (x=2p/sub ////sup c.m// \sqrt{s}) and P/sub T/<1 GeV. The invariant cross section is compatible with that measured for pp interactions at the CERN-ISR. [...]

Strange particle production with $\Sigma^{-} \pi^{-}$ and neutrons in hyperon experiment WA89 at CERN / Zavertyaev, M V (CERN)
Inclusive differential cross sections for 19 strange particles production in high-energy Sigma /sup -/C, pi /sup -/ and neutron induced interactions are measured by the experiment WA89 at CERN. Secondary Sigma /sup -/ and pi /sup -/ beams with average momenta of 343 GeV/c and a neutron beam of 260 GeV/c were produced by primary protons of 450 GeV/c from the CERN SPS. [...]

Prompt photon and inclusive $\pi^{0}$ production at RHIC and LHC / Jeon, S ; Jalilian-Marian, J ; Sarcevic, I
We present results for prompt photon and inclusive pi /sup 0/ production in p-p and A-A collisions at RHIC and LHC energies. We include the full next-to-leading order radiative corrections and nuclear effects, such as nuclear shadowing and parton energy loss. [...]

A recombination model for large-P/sub T/ reactions / Gurtu, A ; Narayan, D S
A difficult theoretical problem in large P/sub T/ reactions is to reproduce simultaneously the observed single-particle distributions and the distribution of (P/sub out/)/sup 2/ versus X/sub E//sup 2/ for different values of square root s and P/sub T//sup trig/. The authors report successful fits to these distributions in a 'recombination' model and to present the predictions of the model at square root s=540 GeV, corresponding to the CERN PP collider. [...]

A study of the production of high-p/sub T/ pi /sup 0/s at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings / Kourkoumelis, C ; Cnops, A M ; Fabjan, Christian Wolfgang ; Fields, T ; Filippas-Tassos, A ; Fokitis, E ; Iwata, S ; Lissauer, D ; Mannelli, I ; Mouzourakis, P et al.
The inclusive cross-section for pi /sup 0/ production near 90 degrees in pp collisions at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings has been studied fro the p/sub T/ range 3<P/sub T/<16 GeV/c at four different centre-of-mass energies ( square root s=30.6, 44.8, 52.7, and 62.8 Ge V). In this experiment the two photons from the pi /sup O/ to gamma gamma decay were resolved and measured separately for p/sub T/ values up to 10 GeV/c. [...]

Comment on the CERN ISR pi /sup 0/- pi /sup 0/ azimuthal correlation data / Gunion, J F ; Kunszt, Zoltán ; Pietarinen, E
The pi /sup 0/- pi /sup 0/ azimuthal-angle distributions measured at CERN ISR are described in terms of standard large-p/sub perpendicular to / two-jet and three-jet contributions in combination with a background obtained by superimposing two uncorrelated pi /sup 0/ spectra (one at high p/sub perpendicular to /, the other at low p/sub perpendicular to /). The main characteristics of the data can be fitted surprisingly well by a simple analytic expression. [...]
