Measurement of the $\bar{B}_s^0\to D_s^-D_s^+$ and $\bar{B}_s^0\to D^-D_s^+$ effective lifetimes / LHCb collaboration
The first measurement of the effective lifetime of the $\bar{B}_s^0$ meson in the decay $\bar{B}_s^0\to D_s^-D_s^+$ is reported using a proton-proton collision dataset, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment. The measured value of the $\bar{B}_s^0\to D_s^-D_s^+$ effective lifetime is $1.379\pm0.026\pm0.017$ ps, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. [...]

First Axion Results from the XENON100 Experiment / XENON100 Collaboration
We present the first results of searches for axions and axion-like-particles with the XENON100 experiment. The axion-electron coupling constant, $g_{Ae}$, has been tested by exploiting the axio-electric effect in liquid xenon. [...]

Precision measurement of the mass and lifetime of the $\Xi_b^0$ baryon / LHCb collaboration
Using a proton-proton collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$ collected by LHCb at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, about 3800 $\Xi_b^0\to\Xi_c^+\pi^-$, $\Xi_c^+\to pK^-\pi^+$ signal decays are reconstructed. From this sample, the first measurement of the $\Xi_b^0$ baryon lifetime is made, relative to that of the $\Lambda_b^0$ baryon. [...]

Study of beauty hadron decays into pairs of charm hadrons / LHCb collaboration
First observations of the decays $\Lambda_b^0 \to \Lambda_c^+ D_{(s)}^-$ are reported using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ collected at 7 and 8 TeV center-of-mass energy in proton-proton collisions with the LHCb detector. In addition, the most precise measurement of the branching fraction ${\mathcal{B}(B_s^0 \to D^+D_s^-)}$ is made and a search is performed for the decays $B^0_{(s)} \to \Lambda_c^+ \Lambda_c^-$. [...]

Studies of beauty baryon decays to $D^0 ph^-$ and $\Lambda_c^+ h^-$ final states / LHCb collaboration
Decays of beauty baryons to the $D^0 p h^-$ and $\Lambda_c^+ h^-$ final states (where $h$ indicates a pion or a kaon) are studied using a data sample of $pp$ collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb detector. The Cabibbo-suppressed decays $\Lambda_b^0\to D^0 p K^-$ and $\Lambda_b^0\to \Lambda_c^+ K^-$ are observed and their branching fractions are measured with respect to the decays $\Lambda_b^0\to D^0 p \pi^-$ and $\Lambda_b^0\to \Lambda_c^+ \pi^-$. The software alignment of planar tracking detectors using samples of charged particle trajectories may lead to global detector distortions that affect vertex and momentum resolution. We present an alignment procedure that constrains such distortions by making use of samples of decay vertices reconstructed from two or more trajectories and putting constraints on their invariant mass. Strong constraints on the rare decays $B^0_s \to \mu^+ \mu^-$ and $B^0 \to \mu^+ \mu^-$ / LHCb Collaboration
A search for $B^0_s \to \mu+ \mu^-$ and $B^0 \to \mu^+ \mu^-$ decays is performed using $1.0$ fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data collected at $\sqrt{s}=7$\,TeV with the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. For both decays the number of observed events is consistent with expectation from background and Standard Model signal predictions. [...]

Measurements of the branching fractions and $C\!P$ asymmetries of $B^{\pm} \to J\!/\!\psi\, \pi^{\pm}$ and $B^{\pm} \to \psi(2S) \pi^{\pm}$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A study of $B^{\pm} \to J\!/\!\psi\, \pi^{\pm}$ and $B^{\pm} \to \psi(2S) \pi^{\pm}$ decays is performed with data corresponding to $0.37\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7\,\mathrm{Te\kern -0.1em V}$. Their branching fractions are found to be \begin{eqnarray*} \mathcal{B}(B^{\pm} \to J\!/\!\psi\, \pi^{\pm}) &=& (3.88 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.15) \times 10^{-5}\ {\rm and}\\ \mathcal{B}(B^{\pm} \to \psi(2S) \pi^{\pm}) &=& (2.52 \pm 0.26 \pm 0.15) \times 10^{-5}, \end{eqnarray*} where the first uncertainty is related to the statistical size of the sample and the second quantifies systematic effects.
