Sextupole scheme optimization for HL–LHC / Plassard, Fabien ; De Maria, Riccardo (CERN) ; Giovannozzi, Massimo (CERN)
One essential upgrade of the High Luminosity LHC (HL–LHC) to reach the desired luminosity, is the large reduction of the β-function value at the interaction points (IP) hosting the high-luminosity experiments ATLAS and CMS. [...]

Tuning the ultralow $β^*$ optics at the KEK Accelerator Test Facility 2 / Yang, R (CERN) ; Pastushenko, A (CERN ; Orsay) ; Aryshev, A (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Bergamaschi, M (CERN) ; Cilento, V (CERN ; Orsay) ; Faus-Golfe, A (Orsay) ; Fukuda, M (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Korysko, P (CERN) ; Kubo, K (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Kuroda, S (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) et al.
For future linear colliders, a nanometer-scale beam size at the interaction point (IP) is one of the most challenging technical aspects. To explore the feasibility of a final focus system with a high chromaticity level, comparable to that of the Compact Linear Collider, the ultralow β* optics has been proposed and tuned at the KEK Accelerator Test Facility 2. High Luminosity LHC optics and layout HLLHCV1.4 / De Maria, Riccardo (CERN) ; Bruce, Roderik (CERN) ; Gamba, Davide (CERN) ; Giovannozzi, Massimo (CERN) ; Plassard, Fabien (CERN)
The goal of the High Luminosity Project is the upgrade of the LHC to deliver an integrated luminosity of at least 250 fb$^{-1}$ per year in each of the two high-luminosity, general-purpose detectors ATLAS and CMS. This article presents the latest layout design and the corresponding optics features, which comprise optimisation of the orbit corrector and crab cavity systems, and new estimates of the performance reach thanks to the new concept of fully remote alignment. Quadrupole-free detector optics design for the Compact Linear Collider final focus system at 3 TeV / Plassard, Fabien (CERN) ; Latina, Andrea (CERN) ; Marin, Eduardo (CERN) ; Tomás, Rogelio (CERN) ; Bambade, Philip (Orsay, LAL)
Aiming to simplify the machine detector interface of the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), a new detector model has been designed allowing the last quadrupole QD0 of the final focus system (FFS) to be located outside of the experiment with a distance L* from the interaction point of 6 m. In this paper, the beam delivery system (BDS) has been reoptimized, offering a luminosity performance that exceeds the design requirements by 11% for the total luminosity and by 7% in the energy peak. Comparative Study of the Tuning Performances of the Nominal and Long L* CLIC Final Focus System at √s = 380 GeV / Plassard, F (CERN ; Orsay) ; Latina, A (CERN) ; Marin, E (CERN) ; Tomás, R (CERN)
Mitigation of static imperfections for emittance preservation is one of the most important and challenging tasks faced by the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) beam delivery system. A simulation campaign has been performed to recover the nominal luminosity by means of different alignment procedures. [...]

Tuning Simulations for the CLIC Traditional Beam Delivery System / Bodenstein, Ryan (JAI, UK) ; Burrows, Philip (JAI, UK) ; Marín, Eduardo (CERN) ; Plassard, Fabien (CERN) ; Tomás, Rogelio (CERN)
As the design of the CLIC Beam Delivery System (BDS) evolves, tuning simulations must be performed on each of the proposed lattice designs to see which system achieves the highest luminosity in the most realistic manner. This work will focus on the tuning simulations performed on the so-called Traditional lattice design for the center-of-mass energy of 3 TeV. [...]
