Delivering and tailoring high brightness electron beams for a wide range of novel applications is a challenging task in single pass accelerator test facilities. This paper will review beam dynamics challenges at single pass accelerator test facilities in Europe to generate, transport and tailor low- to medium-energy high brightness electron beams for a range of novel applications..

Impact of 440 GeV Proton beams on Superconductors in a Cryogenic Environment / Will, A (CERN ; KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Bernhard, A (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Bonura, M (Geneva U.) ; Bordini, B (CERN) ; Mentink, M (CERN) ; Mueller, A S (KIT, Karlsruhe, IPE) ; Oslandsbotn, A (CERN) ; Schmidt, R (CERN) ; Schubert, J (CERN) ; Senatore, C (CERN ; Geneva U.) et al.
The superconducting magnets used in high energy particle accelerators such as CERN’s LHC can be impacted by the circulating beam in case of specific failures. This leads to interaction of the beam particles with the magnet components, like the superconducting coils, through direct beam impact or via secondary particle showers. [...]

Characterization of the radiation tolerance of cryogenic diodes for the High Luminosity LHC inner triplet circuit / Will, Andreas (KIT, Karlsruhe ; CERN) ; D'Angelo, G (CERN) ; Denz, R (CERN) ; Hagedorn, D (CERN) ; Monteuuis, A (CERN) ; Ravaioli, E (CERN) ; Rodriguez Mateos, F (CERN) ; Siemko, A (CERN) ; Stachon, K (CERN) ; Verweij, A (CERN) et al.
Cryogenic bypass diodes are part of the baseline powering layout for the circuits of the new Nb3Sn based final focus magnets of the high luminosity Large Hadron Collider. They will protect the magnets against excessive transient voltages during a nonuniform quenching process. [...]

Experimental Setup to Characterize the Radiation Hardness of Cryogenic Bypass Diodes for the HL-LHC Inner Triplet Circuits / Will, Andreas (CERN ; KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Bernhard, Axel (KIT, Karlsruhe) ; D'Angelo, Giorgio (CERN) ; Denz, Reiner (CERN) ; Favre, Mathieu (CERN) ; Hagedorn, Dietrich (CERN) ; Kirby, Glyn (CERN) ; Kistrup, Lucas (Unlisted, DK) ; Koettig, Torsten (CERN) ; Monteuuis, Arnaud (CERN) et al.
For the high luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), it is planned to replace the existing triplet quadrupole magnets with Nb₃Sn quadrupole magnets, which provide a comparable integrated field gradient with a significantly increased aperture. These magnets will be powered through a novel superconducting link based on MgB₂ cables. [...]

Search for neutral Higgs bosons decaying into four taus at LEP2 / ALEPH Collaboration
A search for the production and non-standard decay of a Higgs boson, h, into four taus through intermediate pseudoscalars, a, is conducted on 683 pb-1 of data collected by the ALEPH experiment at centre-of-mass energies from 183 to 209 GeV. No excess of events above background is observed, and exclusion limits are placed on the combined production cross section times branching ratio, \xi^2 = \sigma(e+e- --> Zh)/\sigma_{SM}(e+e- --> Zh) x B(h --> aa)x B(a --> \tau^+\tau^-)^2. Superconductive Damping Wigglers for the CLIC Project / Baumbach, T (Karlsruhe U.) ; Bernard, A (Karlsruhe U.) ; Braun, H (CERN) ; Casalbuoni, S (Karlsruhe, Forschungszentrum) ; Grau, A (Karlsruhe, Forschungszentrum) ; Hagelstein, M (Karlsruhe, Forschungszentrum) ; Korostelev, M (CERN) ; Kostka, B (Erlangen - Nuremberg U.) ; Mashkina, E (Erlangen - Nuremberg U.) ; Mueller, A-S (Karlsruhe U.) et al.
The CLIC damping ring requires wigglers with both high on-axis fields and short periods. The present design foresees a superconductive wiggler with a period length of 5 cm, a peak on-axis field of 2.5 T and a full aperture of 12 mm. [...]

Search for neutral MSSM Higgs bosons at LEP / ALEPH Collaboration
The four LEP collaborations, ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL, have searched for the neutral Higgs bosons which are predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The data of the four collaborations are statistically combined and examined for their consistency with the background hypothesis and with a possible Higgs boson signal. [...]

A measurement of the gluon splitting rate into $c\overline{c}$ pairs in hadronic Z decays / ALEPH Collaboration
The rate of gluons splitting into $c \bar{c}$ pairs in hadronic $Z$ decays is measured using the data sample collected by ALEPH from 1991 to 1995. The selection is based on the identification of leptons (electrons and muons) originating from semileptonic charm decays, and on the topological properties of signal events [...]

Search for charged Higgs bosons in $e^+ e^-$ collisions at energies up to $\sqrt{s}$ = 189 GeV / ALEPH Collaboration
The data collected at centre-of-mass energies of 188.6 GeV by ALEPH at LEP, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 176.2 pb-1, are analysed in a search for pair-produced charged Higgs bosons H+/-. Three analyses are employed to select the taunutaunu, taunucs and cscs final states. [...]
