The upgrade of the CMS detector for the high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will include gas electron multiplier (GEM) detectors in the end-cap muon spectrometer.
Due to the limited supply of large area GEM detectors, the Korean CMS (KCMS) collaboration had formed a consortium with Mecaro Co., Ltd. to serve as a supplier of GEM foils with area of approximately 0.6 m$^{2}$.
The consortium has developed a double-mask etching technique for production of these large-sized GEM foils.
This article describes the production, quality control, and quality assessment (QA/QC) procedures and the mass production status for the GEM foils. [...]

Quality Control of Mass-Produced GEM Detectors for the CMS GE1/1 Muon Upgrade
/ Abbas, Syed Mohsin (IPM, Tehran) ; Abbrescia, Marcello (INFN, Bari ; Bari U.) ; Abdalla, Hassan Fathy (Cairo, Acad. Sci. Res. Tech.) ; Abdelalim, Ahmed Ali (Cairo, Acad. Sci. Res. Tech.) ; Abuzeid Hassan, Shimaa Abdelwahed (INFN, Pavia) ; Agapitos, Antonis (Peking U.) ; Ahmad, Ashfaq (Quaid-i-Azam U.) ; Ahmed, Asar (Delhi U.) ; Ahmed, Waqar (Quaid-i-Azam U.) ; Aimè, Chiara (INFN, Pavia ; Pavia U.) et al.
The series of upgrades to the Large Hadron Collider, culminating in the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, will enable a significant expansion of the physics program of the CMS experiment. However, the accelerator upgrades will also make the experimental conditions more challenging, with implications for detector operations, triggering, and data analysis. [...]

The drift velocity monitoring system of the CMS barrel muon chambers
/ Altenhoefer, Georg Friedrich (Julich, Forschungszentrum) ; Hebbeker, Thomas (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Heidemann, Carsten Andreas (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Reithler, Hans (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Sonnenschein, Lars (ADU cologne GmbH, Cologne) ; Teyssier, Daniel Francois (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.)
The drift velocity is a key parameter of drift chambers. Its value depends on several parameters: electric field, pressure, temperature, gas mixture, and contamination, for example, by ambient air. [...]

CMS Drift Tubes performance
/ Teyssier, Daniel Francois (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.)
/CMS Collaboration
The CMS muon barrel system includes 250 Drift Tubes (DT) stations that require 172,000 readout channels for triggering and measurement of the muon transverse momentum.
After the first Long Shutdown (LS1) of CMS, the fraction of active channels remains higher than 99\%. The spatial resolution ranges between 200 and
250 $\mathrm{\mu m}$ in the phi direction, and the intrinsic time resolution is about 2ns.
In addition the DT system showed excellent performance during Run 1, with very low associated down time and only a small fraction of data
not qualified by the data certification procedure. [...]

Exotica Searches
/ Teyssier, Daniel Francois (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.)
/CMS Collaboration
The searches for non-SUSY physics beyond Standard Model are presented, usingthe 7 TeV and 8 TeV data at LHC. The CMS collaboration hasinvestigated numerous scenarios, including the possibility of new heavy gaugebosons, extra-dimensions, compositeness or dark matter production. [...]

Prospects for physics with 1/fb at CMS
/ Teyssier, Daniel Francois (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.)
/CMS Collaboration
An overview of the physics reach of the CMS experiment at the LHC in pp collisions at the center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 1 inverse femtobarn is presented. Various prospects in the Higgs sector of the Standard Model (SM), in the MSSM supersymmetric extension of the SM and in other exotic models beyond the SM will be detailed. [...]
