Training Neural Networks with Universal Adiabatic Quantum Computing / Abel, Steve (Durham U., IPPP ; CERN) ; Criado, Juan Carlos (Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
The training of neural networks (NNs) is a computationally intensive task requiring significant time and resources. This paper presents a novel approach to NN training using Adiabatic Quantum Computing (AQC), a paradigm that leverages the principles of adiabatic evolution to solve optimisation problems. [...]

Search for nonresonant pair production of Higgs bosons in the $b\bar{b}b\bar{b}$ final state in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}= 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for nonresonant Higgs boson pair production in the $b\bar{b}b\bar{b}$ final state is presented. The analysis uses 126 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}={13}$ TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, and targets both the gluon-gluon fusion and vector-boson fusion production modes. [...]

Prospects for exotic $h\rightarrow 4 \tau$ decays in single and di-Higgs boson production at the LHC and future hadron colliders / Adhikary, Amit (Warsaw U. ; Bangalore, Indian Inst. Sci.) ; Banerjee, Shankha (CERN) ; Barman, Rahool Kumar (Oklahoma State U.) ; Batell, Brian (Pittsburgh U.) ; Bhattacherjee, Biplob (Bangalore, Indian Inst. Sci.) ; Bose, Camellia (Bangalore, Indian Inst. Sci.) ; Qian, Zhuoni (Hangzhou Normal U.) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
We study the prospects for observing exotic decays of the Standard Model Higgs boson $h$ into light beyond the Standard Model scalars $a$ with mass $m_{a} \lesssim m_{h}/2$ in the single Higgs and Higgs pair production channels at the high luminosity run of the Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). Discovery prospects for single Higgs production in the gluon-gluon fusion and vector boson fusion modes with the Higgs boson decaying via the exotic mode $h \to aa \to 4\tau$ are analyzed at the HL-LHC. [...]

Effective limits on single scalar extensions in the light of recent LHC data / Anisha (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Das Bakshi, Supratim (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Kumar Patra, Sunando (Bangabasi Coll.) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
In this paper, we work with 16 different single scalar particle extensions of the Standard Model. We present the sets of dimension-6 effective operators and the associated Wilson coefficients as functions of model parameters after integrating out the heavy scalars up to 1-loop, including the heavy-light mixing, for each such scenario. High energy lepton colliders as the ultimate Higgs microscopes / Banerjee, Shankha (CERN) ; Gupta, Rick S. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Ochoa-Valeriano, Oscar (Durham U., IPPP) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
We study standard electroweak/Higgs processes at the high-energy lepton colliders ILC and CLIC. We identify a subset of three operators in the SMEFT that give leading contributions to these processes at high energies. [...]

A fully differential SMEFT analysis of the golden channel using the method of moments / Banerjee, Shankha (CERN) ; Gupta, Rick S. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Ochoa-Valeriano, Oscar (Durham U., IPPP) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP) ; Venturini, Elena (Munich, Tech. U.)
The Method of Moments is a powerful framework to disentangle the relative contributions of amplitudes of a specific process to its various phase space regions. We apply this method to carry out a fully differential analysis of the Higgs decay channel $h \to 4\ell$ and constrain gauge-Higgs coupling modifications parametrised by dimension-six effective operators. Precision SMEFT bounds from the VBF Higgs at high transverse momentum / Araz, Jack Y. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Banerjee, Shankha (CERN) ; Gupta, Rick S. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
We study the production of Higgs bosons at high transverse momenta via vector-boson fusion (VBF) in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We find that contributions from four independent operator combinations dominate in this limit. [...]
