The truncation of the standard-model effective field theory, its validity and the associated uncertainties have been discussed in meetings of the LHC EFT WG. Proposals were made by participants to address these issues. [...]

We present the automation of one-loop computations in the standard-model effective field theory at dimension six. Our general implementation, dubbed SMEFT@NLO, covers all types of operators: bosonic, two- and four-fermion ones. [...]

A Monte Carlo global analysis of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory: the top quark sector
/ Hartland, Nathan P. (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; Maltoni, Fabio (Louvain U., CP3 ; INFN, Bologna ; U. Bologna, DIFA) ; Nocera, Emanuele R. (Nikhef, Amsterdam ; U. Edinburgh, Higgs Ctr. Theor. Phys.) ; Rojo, Juan (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; Slade, Emma (Oxford U., Theor. Phys. ; Oxford U.) ; Vryonidou, Eleni (CERN) ; Zhang, Cen (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.)
We present a novel framework for carrying out global analyses of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) at dimension-six: SMEFiT. This approach is based on the Monte Carlo replica method for deriving a faithful estimate of the experimental and theoretical uncertainties and enables one to construct the probability distribution in the space of the SMEFT degrees of freedom. Probing top-quark couplings indirectly at Higgs factories
/ Durieux, Gauthier (DESY) ; Gu, Jiayin (U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Vryonidou, Eleni (CERN) ; Zhang, Cen (Beijing, GUCAS ; Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.)
We perform a global effective-field-theory analysis to assess the combined precision on Higgs couplings, triple gauge-boson couplings, and top-quark couplings, at future circular $e^+e^-$ colliders, with a focus on runs below the $t\bar t$ production threshold. Deviations in the top-quark sector entering as one-loop corrections are consistently taken into account in Higgs and diboson processes. [...]

Dimension-six electroweak top-loop effects in Higgs production and decay
/ Vryonidou, Eleni (CERN) ; Zhang, Cen (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.)
We study the next-to-leading order electroweak corrections to Higgs processes from dimension-six top-quark operators in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory approach. We consider the major production channels, including $WH$, $ZH$, and VBF production at the LHC, and $ZH$, VBF production at future lepton colliders, as well as the major decay channels including $H\to \gamma\gamma, \gamma Z, Wl\nu,Zll,b\bar b,\mu\mu,\tau\tau$. Single-top associated production with a $Z$ or $H$ boson at the LHC: the SMEFT interpretation
/ Degrande, Celine (CERN) ; Maltoni, Fabio (Louvain U., CP3) ; Mimasu, Ken (Louvain U., CP3) ; Vryonidou, Eleni (CERN) ; Zhang, Cen (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.)
At the LHC, top quarks can be produced singly with a sizeable rate via electroweak interactions. This process probes a limited set of top-quark electroweak couplings, i.e. [...]
