From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
Rye (Japanese: ハク Haku) is a member of the Galaxy Team's Agriculture Corps.
He bears a striking resemblance to Riley, but the relationship between them, if any, is unknown.
In the core series games
Rye is featured in Request 88: "Steely Lucario". The request starts when the player interacts with a Lucario in the Galaxy Hall Entrance Hall. Rye will then appear and introduce himself, inviting the player to battle them at the Jubilife Village training grounds.

Quotes
- Request 88 - "Steely Lucario"
-
- Galaxy Hall (Entrance hall)
- "Something the matter, Lucario?"
- "I'm Rye."
- "...And you are?"
- "OK, you're <player>. Nice to meet you."
- "What is it, Lucario?"
- "It seems Lucario sensed your strong aura, too. If you're willing to battle us, could you come to the training grounds?"
- Jubilife Village (Training grounds)
- "I take it you're ready for our battle?"
- I'm ready: "Now then, let's forgo the small talk and proceed right to battle. That's our style!"
-
- "That was a wonderful battle! Seems we need to redo our training, Lucario."
- "Thank you for the experience. I can tell you've met many Pokémon, and that's helped make you stronger. I think we'll test our skills in other places from now on. Let's meet again!"
Trivia
- Rye does not have any Trainer data in the game, so when battling against him, the game refers to his Pokémon as "the wild Lucario" and plays the music for wild encounters.
