Funkcija
urediOvaj gen kodira protein koji sadrži mnoge tandemske motive cinkovog prsta. Cinkovi prsti su domeni koje vežu proteine ili nukleinske kiseline i mogu biti uključeni u razne funkcije, uključujući regulaciju transkripcije. Ovaj gen nalazi se u skupu sličnih gena koji kodiraju proteine cinkovih prstiju na hromosomu 19. [[alternativna prerada RAKlAlternativna prerada rezultira višestrukim varijantama transkripta ovog gena.
Interakcije
urediPokazalo se da proteini cinkovog prsta ulaze u interakciju s nukleinskim kiselinama i imaju različite funkcije. Domen cinkovog prsta je konzervirani motiv aminokiselinske sekvence koji sadrži po dva posebno postavljena cisteina i histidina, koji su uključeni u koordinaciju cinka. Proteini povezani sa Kruppelom čine jednu porodicu proteina cinkovih prstiju.[5]
