Funkcija

Betaglikan se vezuje za različite članove natporodice TGF-beta liganda preko svog jezgarnog proteina i bFGF preko svojih heparan-sulfatnih lanaca. Nije uključen direktno u TGF-beta transdukciju signala, ali vezivanjem za različite članove natporodice TGF-beta na površini ćelije djeluje kao rezervoar liganda za receptore TGF-beta.[6][7]
