Funkcija
urediProtein kodiran ovim genom je član potporodice SEC24 porodice SEC23/SEC24, koja je uključena u promet vezikula. Kodirani protein je sličan kvaščevoj Sec24p komponenti COPII. COPII je proteinski kompleks omotača, odgovoran za pupanje vezikula iz ER. Uloga ovog genskog proizvoda je implicirana u oblikovanju vezikula, kao i u selekciji i koncentraciji tereta.[7]
