Adiponektinski receptor 1 (AdipoR1) jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom ADIPOR1 sa hromosoma 1.[5] Član je porodice progestini i adipoQ receptori (PAQR), a poznat je i kao PAQR1.[6]

Struktura

Slično G-protein spregnutim receptorima (GPCR), AdipoR1 također ima sedam transmembranskih domena. Međutim, AdipoR1 je orijentiran suprotno od GPCR u membrani (tj., citoplazmatski N-terminal, vanćelijski C-terminal) i ne povezuje se sa G-proteinima.[5]

Funkcija

Adiponektinski receptori, AdipoR1 i AdipoR2, služe kao receptori za globulasti i punodužinski adiponektin i posreduju u povećanju razine AMP-aktivirane protein-kinaze (AMPK) i PPAR-α aktivnosti liganda, kao i oksidaciji masnih kiselima i uzimanju glukoze za adiponektin.[5][8] Univerzitet u Tokiju je 2016. objavio da pokreće istragu o anonimnim tvrdnjama o izmišljenim i falsifikovanim podacima o identifikaciji AdipoR1 i AdipoR2.[9]
