Rex De Garis arrived at St Kilda from Prahran in 1921. A wingman who boasted exceptional pace, he represented Victoria twice, while his VFL career with the Saints comprised 60 games played from 1921 to 1923 and in 1925. He booted 13 goals. After leaving the Saints he had stints as captain-coach of Corowa, Nhill, Rochester and Sorrento, and he continued playing until the early 1930s.
