Diminutive, but bursting with courage, and boasting a keen football brain, Jack Hickey was a firm favourite amongst Collingwood’s legion of fans throughout his comparatively brief career. That career ran between 1951 and 1956 and saw him play 72 VFL games and score 15 goals. He was 19th man in the Magpies’ losing 1955 grand final team.
