We head down The Parade to the Coopers Stadium, where the Redlegs braced themselves for the arrival of the Double Blues in front of over 5500 people. We have to go all the way back to Round 9 last year for the previous clash between these two, when Sturt launched a raid on Redleg turf for a 46-point win.
After last week's stunning victory at Elizabeth, the Blues would surely have been primed for another bash but they would instead be up by just one point at the first change, 2.2 to 2.1. This is where the Redlegs went on the attack, Sturt taken completely off balance as they conceded 4.5 to their single behind. At the long break, Norwood would hold a 27-point lead going into the long break. Suddenly glowing with confidence and smelling blood, the home side continued to pound down on a comparatively meek Blues outfit with a 7.3 to 2.1 third quarter. Blues fans would be stunned at the three quarter-time margin, Norwood up by 59 points. In a near-replay of the second term, the visitors managed just one behind while the 'Legs added another 3.3 to take a resounding 79-point win.
Sam Rowe kicked six goals, but it was Brett Zorzi that took out best on ground honours for Norwood while the Blues voted Scott McGlone as their standout.
