In the final match of the round, over 4,000 people turned up at Glenelg to watch the Tigers play the Roosters on the holiday Monday.
Things started off rather equally, with the Tigers taking a four-point lead at quarter time after scoring 4.2 to North's 3.4. But after this, the Roosters just went to sleep! Glenelg just ran away with it from here, starting with a 5.4 to 2.0 second quarter which saw the home side up by 26 points at the half-time break. Whatever Mark Mickan tweaked in the player line-up was working a treat, when the game resumed, the Tigers kicked further 6.3 to North's disappointing 2.2 response. At three quarter time, Glenelg were out to a 51 point lead. Despite a last minute show of fight from the Roosters, who kicked 6.1 for the last term, the Tigers didn't enough damage and outran the Roosters to win by 48 points.
The Tigers named Ben Fisher as their best, while North named Heath Younie as their best afield. Jarman = not happy.
