Saturday afternoon SANFL football was not everyone's ticket, with only 1,500 people showing up to The Parade for the match between the Redlegs and the Panthers. There was a possibility for a jump to fifth position on the ladder for the victor and both sides have had real shockers as of late.
But today the Redlegs finally found some form, booting 4.3 to South's 1.2. It took until the 25th minute for South just to get their first goal! But that would set the scene for the day, the Redlegs just going on their merry way and silencing the Panther roar. They were quite inaccurate in the second term, kicking 4.7 to South's 1.1 to be up by 43 points at the long break. Another streak of unanswered goals happened in the third quarter, the Redlegs booting five goals until the Panthers bagged on themselves. At three quarter time, Norwood's lead was out to 57 points. A further 5.6 in the final term to 1.1 saw the gap blow out to 85 points in the end, Norwood hanging on the next day's results to see whether or not they jumped up to fifth spot.
Heath Culpitt was named best for the home side, while the visitors didn't have too much to choose from, naming Dale Ellis as their standout.
