Observation of the Electromagnetic Dalitz Transition $h_c \rightarrow e^+e^-η_c$

Abstract: Using $(27.12\pm 0.14)\times10^8$ $ψ(3686)$ decays and data samples of $e^+e^-$ collisions with $\sqrt{s}$ from 4.130 to 4.780~GeV collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of the electromagnetic Dalitz transition $h_c\to e^+e^-η_c$ with a statistical significance of $5.4σ$. How many vector charmonium(-like) states sit in the energy range from $4.2$ to $4.35$ GeV?

Abstract: In recent years many vector charmonium(-like) states were reported by different electron-positron collider experiments above $4.2$ GeV. However, so far, there not only exists sizable tension in the parameters of those states, but there is also no consensus on the number of the vector states in this energy range. To some extend, this might be caused by the fact that the experimental data were typic… ▽ More In recent years many vector charmonium(-like) states were reported by different electron-positron collider experiments above $4.2$ GeV. However, so far, there not only exists sizable tension in the parameters of those states, but there is also no consensus on the number of the vector states in this energy range. To some extend, this might be caused by the fact that the experimental data were typically analyzed in single channel analyses employing overlapping Breit-Wigner functions, in particular ignoring the effect of opening thresholds. In this study, we focus on the mass range between $4.2$ and $4.35$ GeV, conducting a comprehensive analysis of eight different final states in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation. Our findings demonstrate that, within this mass range, a single vector charmonium-like state, exhibiting properties consistent with a $D_1\bar D$ molecular structure and characterized by a pole location $\sqrt{s_\text{pole}^{Y(4230)}}=\left( 4227{\pm} 3 {-} \frac{i}{2}(50^{+10}_{-5}) \right) \text{MeV}$, can effectively describe all the collected data. This is made possible by allowing for an interference with the well-established vector chamonium $ψ(4160)$ along with the inclusion of the $D_1\bar D$ threshold effect. Moreover, in contrast to experimental analyses, our study reveals that the highly asymmetric total cross sections for $e^+e^-\to J/ψππ$ and $e^+e^-\to J/ψK\bar K$ around 4230 MeV stem from the same physics, rooted in the approximate SU(3) flavor symmetry of QCD. △ Less

Coupled-channel description of charmed heavy hadronic molecules within the meson-exchange model and its implication

Abstract: Motivated by the first observation of the double-charm tetraquark $T_{cc}^+(3875)$ by the LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the nature of $T_{cc}^+$ as an isoscalar $DD^*$ hadronic molecule in a meson-exchange potential model incorporated by the coupled-channel effects and three-body unitarity. The latter states can be related to $T_{cc}^+$ in the meson-exchange potential model with limited assumptions based on the SU(3) flavor symmetry relations. The combined analysis, on the one hand, indicates the HQSS breaking effects among those HQSS partners, and on the other hand, highlights the role played by the short and long-distance dynamics for the near threshold $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ and $D^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}+c.c.$ systems. △ Less

Study of weak radiative decays of $D^0\to V γ$

Abstract: The weak radiative decay of $D^0\to Vγ$ with $V=\bar{K}^0$, and $φ$, $ρ^0$, and $ω$, is systematically studied in the vector meson dominance (VMD) model. It allows us to distinguish the short-distance mechanisms which can be described by the tree-level transitions in the non-relativistic constituent quark model, and the long-distance mechanisms which are related to the final-state interactions (FS… ▽ More The weak radiative decay of $D^0\to Vγ$ with $V=\bar{K}^0$, and $φ$, $ρ^0$, and $ω$, is systematically studied in the vector meson dominance (VMD) model. In-orbit background simulation of a type-B CATCH satellite

A type-B satellite is equipped with lightweight Wolter-I X-ray optics and an array of position-sensitive multi-pixel Silicon Drift Detectors. The type-B CATCH satellites are dedicated to locating transients and detecting their time-dependent energy spectra. A type-B satellite is equipped with lightweight Wolter-I X-ray optics and an array of position-sensitive multi-pixel Silicon Drift Detectors. To optimize the scientific payloads for operating properly in orbit and performing the observations with high sensitivities, this work performs an in-orbit background simulation of a type-B CATCH satellite using the Geant4 toolkit. It shows that the persistent background is dominated by the cosmic X-ray diffuse background and the cosmic-ray protons. The dynamic background is also estimated considering trapped charged particles in the radiation belts and low-energy charged particles near the geomagnetic equator, which is dominated by the incident electrons outside the aperture. The simulated persistent background within the focal spot is used to estimate the observation sensitivity, i.e. 4.22$\times$10$^{-13}$ erg cm$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ with an exposure of 10$^{4}$ s and a Crab-like source spectrum, which can be utilized further to optimize the shielding design. The simulated in-orbit background also suggests that the magnetic diverter just underneath the optics may be unnecessary in this kind of micro-satellites, because the dynamic background induced by charged particles outside the aperture is around 3 orders of magnitude larger than that inside the aperture. △ Less

Predictions for feed-down enhancements at the $Λ_c \bar{D}$ and $Λ_c \bar{D}^*$ thresholds via the triangle and box singularities

Abstract: We demonstrate that triangle singularity (TS) and box singularity (BS) mechanisms can produce unique narrow enhancements at the $Λ_c\bar{D}$ and $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$ thresholds in the invariant mass spectra of $J/ψp$ and $J/ψpπ$, respectively. Taking into account that such mechanisms only depend on the initial $Σ_c^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ interactions near threshold within the TS or BS kinematic regimes, th… ▽ More We demonstrate that triangle singularity (TS) and box singularity (BS) mechanisms can produce unique narrow enhancements at the $Λ_c\bar{D}$ and $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$ thresholds in the invariant mass spectra of $J/ψp$ and $J/ψpπ$, respectively. On the widths of $η(1295)$ and $η(1405/1475)$

Abstract: Based on the assignment of the first radial excitation states of the isoscalar pseudoscalars for $η(1295)$ and $η(1405/1475)$, we investigate their three-body and four-body decay contributions to the total widths. In agreement with our previous studies we find that the triangle singularity (TS) mechanism arising from the intermediate $K^*\bar{K}$ rescatterings by exchanging a kaon or pion plays a… ▽ More Based on the assignment of the first radial excitation states of the isoscalar pseudoscalars for $η(1295)$ and $η(1405/1475)$, we investigate their three-body and four-body decay contributions to the total widths. In agreement with our previous studies we find that the triangle singularity (TS) mechanism arising from the intermediate $K^*\bar{K}$ rescatterings by exchanging a kaon or pion plays a crucial role in both $K\bar{K}π$ and $ηππ$ channels. For the $η_X$ ($η_X$ stands for $η(1295)$ and $η(1405/1475)$) decays into $K\bar{K}π$, we find that although the transition $η_X\to K^*\bar{K}+c.c.\to K\bar{K}π$ is the dominant tree-level process, the productions of the intermediate $K\barκ+c.c.$ and $a_0(980)π$ are strongly enhanced by the TS mechanism. For the $η_X$ decays into $ηππ$, we find that the production of the intermediate $a_0(980)π$ via the triangle transition is the dominant one for $η(1295)$ partly because of the large $η(1295)K^*\bar{K}$ coupling. In contrast, the tree-level and triangle loop contributions are compatible and dominant in the $η(1405/1475)$ decays into $ηππ$. Abstract: Using $4.5 \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 to 4.698 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measured the absolute branching fraction for the inclusive semileptonic decay $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Xe^+ν_e$, where $X$ refers to any possible particle system. The branching fraction of the decay is determined to be… ▽ More Using $4.5 \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 to 4.698 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measured the absolute branching fraction for the inclusive semileptonic decay $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Xe^+ν_e$, where $X$ refers to any possible particle system. The branching fraction of the decay is determined to be $\mathcal{B}({\it Λ}^+_c\rightarrow Xe^+ν_e)=(4.06\pm0.10_{\rm stat.}\pm0.09_{\rm syst.})\%$. Our result improves the precision of previous measurement of $\mathcal{B}({\it Λ}^+_c\rightarrow Xe^+ν_e)$ by more than threefold. Using the known $Λ_c^+$ lifetime and the charge-averaged semileptonic decay width of nonstrange charmed mesons, we measure the ratio of inclusive semileptonic decay widths $Γ(Λ_c^+\rightarrow X e^+ν_e)/\barΓ(D\rightarrow Xe^+ν_e)=1.28\pm0.05$, where statistical and systematic uncertainties are combined. △ Less

Abstract: Using data taken at 29 center-of-mass energies between 4.16 and 4.70 GeV with the BESIII detector at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of approximately 18.8 $\rm fb^{-1}$, the process $e^+e^- \to p p \bar{p} \bar{n} π^{-} + c.c.$ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $11.5σ$. Charmed-strange tetraquarks and their decays in a potential quark model

Abstract: In the framework of a nonrelativistic potential quark model, we investigate the mass spectrum of the $1S$-wave charmed-strange tetraquark states of $cn\bar{s}\bar{n}$ and $cs\bar{n}\bar{n}$ ($n=u$ or $d$) systems. The tetraquark system is solved by a correlated Gaussian method. With the same parameters fixed by the meson spectra, we obtained the mass spectra for the $1S$-wave tetraquark states. Furthermore, based on the predicted tetraquark spectra we estimate their rearrangement decays in a quark-exchange model. We find that the rearrangement decays of the tetraquarks may be mainly driven by the spin-spin interactions. The resonances $X_0(2900)^0$ and $T^a_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^{++/0}$ reported from LHCb may be assigned to be the lowest $1S$-wave tetraquark states $\bar{T}_{cs0}^f(2818)$ and $T^{a}_{c\bar{s}0}(2828)$ classified in the quark model, respectively. It also allows us to extract the couplings for the initial tetraquark states to their nearby $S$-wave interaction channels. We find that some of these couplings turn out to be sizeable. Following the picture of the wavefunction renormalization for the near-threshold strong $S$-wave interactions, the sizeable coupling strengths can be regarded as an indication of their dynamic origins as candidates for hadronic molecules. Furthermore, our predictions suggest that signals for the $1S$-wave charmed-strange tetraquark states can also be searched in the other channels, such as $D^0K^+$, $D^+K^+$, $D^{*+}K^-$, $D^{*+}K^+$, $D^{*0}K^+$, $D^0\bar{K}^{*0}$, $D_s^+ρ^0$, etc. △ Less

We have thus proposed an intelligent X-ray constellation, the Chasing All Transients Constellation Hunters (CATCH) space mission. Consisting of 126 micro-satellites in three types, CATCH will have the capability to perform follow-up observations for a large number of different types of transients simultaneously. Each satellite in the constellation will carry lightweight X-ray optics and use a deployable mast to increase the focal length. The combination of different optics and detector systems enables different types of satellites to have multiform observation capabilities, including timing, spectroscopy, imaging, and polarization. Controlled by the intelligent system, different satellites can cooperate to perform uninterrupted monitoring, all-sky follow-up observations, and scanning observations with a flexible field of view (FOV) and multi-dimensional observations. Therefore, CATCH will be a powerful mission to study the dynamic universe. The mass range from 1.5 to 2.9~GeV is scanned for the dark photon candidate, and no significant signal is observed. Furthermore, the mass dependent analysis reveals that the $K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}π^{0}$ invariant mass spectrum for the pseudoscalar component can be well described with two isoscalar resonant states using relativistic Breit-Wigner model, ${\it i.e.}$, the $η(1405)$ with a mass of $1391.7\pm0.7_{-0.3}^{+11.3}\mathrm{\ Me\kern -0.1em V}/c^2$ and a width of $60.8\pm1.2_{-12.0}^{+5.5}\mathrm{\ Me\kern -0.1em V}$, and the $η(1475)$ with a mass of $1507.6\pm1.6_{-32.2}^{+15.5}\mathrm{\ Me\kern -0.1em V}/c^2$ and a width of $115.8\pm2.4_{-10.9}^{+14.8}\mathrm{\ Me\kern -0.1em V}$. The first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. Alternate models for the pseudoscalar component are also tested, but the description of the $K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}π^{0}$ invariant mass spectrum deteriorates significantly. △ Less

The branching fraction is determined to be $\mathcal{B} (ψ(3686) \to e^+ e^- η_c) = (3.77 \pm 0.40_{\rm stat.} \pm 0.18_{\rm syst.})\times 10^{-5}$, agreeing well with the prediction of the vector meson dominance model. This is the first measurement of the electromagnetic Dalitz transition between the $ψ(3686)$ and the $η_c$, which provides new insight into the electromagnetic properties of this decay, and offers new opportunities to measure the absolute branching fractions of $η_c$ decays. △ Less

Improved measurement of the strong-phase difference $δ_D^{Kπ}$ in quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ decays

Abstract: The decay $D\to K^-π^+$ is studied in a sample of quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ pairs, based on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93\,fb$^{-1}$ collected at the $ψ(3770)$ resonance by the BESIII experiment. The asymmetry between $C\!P$-odd and $C\!P$-even eigenstate decays into $K^-π^+$ is determined to be ${\cal A}_{Kπ} = 0.132 \pm 0.011 \pm 0.007$, where the first uncerta… ▽ More The decay $D\to K^-π^+$ is studied in a sample of quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ pairs, based on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93\,fb$^{-1}$ collected at the $ψ(3770)$ resonance by the BESIII experiment. The asymmetry between $C\!P$-odd and $C\!P$-even eigenstate decays into $K^-π^+$ is determined to be ${\cal A}_{Kπ} = 0.132 \pm 0.011 \pm 0.007$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement is an update of an earlier study exploiting additional tagging modes, including several decay modes involving a $K^0_L$ meson. The branching fractions of the $K^0_L$ modes are determined as input to the analysis in a manner that is independent of any strong phase uncertainty. Using the predominantly $C\!P$-even tag $D\to π^+π^-π^0$ and the ensemble of $C\!P$-odd eigenstate tags, the observable ${\cal A}_{Kπ}^{πππ^0}$ is measured to be $0.130 \pm 0.012 \pm 0.008$. The two asymmetries are sensitive to $r_D^{Kπ} \cos δ_D^{Kπ}$, where $r_D^{Kπ}$ and $δ_D^{Kπ}$ are the ratio of amplitudes and phase difference, respectively, between the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed and Cabibbo-favoured decays. In addition, events containing $D \to K^-π^+$ tagged by $D \to K^0_{S,L} π^+π^-$ are studied in bins of phase space of the three-body decays. This analysis has sensitivity to both $r_D^{Kπ} \cos δ_D^{Kπ}$ and $r_D^{Kπ} \sin δ_D^{Kπ}$. A fit to ${\cal A}_{Kπ}$, ${\cal A}_{Kπ}^{πππ^0}$ and the phase-space distribution of the $D \to K^0_{S,L} π^+π^-$ tags yields $δ_D^{Kπ}= \left( 187.6 {^{+8.9}_{-9.7}}{^{+5.4}_{-6.4}} \right)$ degrees, where external constraints are applied for $r_D^{Kπ}$ and other relevant parameters. Abstract: We report a branching fraction measurement of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK^{+}$ using a data sample collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. The data span center-of-mass energies from 4.599 to 4.950 GeV and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 6.44 fb$^{-1}$. The data span center-of-mass energies from 4.599 to 4.950 GeV and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 6.44 fb$^{-1}$. The branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK^{+}$ relative to that of the Cabibbo-favored decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛπ^{+}$ is measured to be $\mathcal{R}=\frac{\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛK^{+})}{\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛπ^{+})}=(4.78\pm0.34\pm0.20)\%$. Combining with the world-average value of $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛπ^{+})$, we obtain $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\toΛK^+)=(6.21\pm0.44\pm0.26\pm0.34)\times 10^{-4}$. Here the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third comes from the uncertainty of the $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛπ^{+}$ branching fraction. This result, which is more precise than previous measurements, does not agree with theoretical predictions, and suggests that non-factorizable contributions have been under-estimated in current models. △ Less

The first resonance we observe has a mass of (4373.1 $\pm$ 4.0 $\pm$ 2.2) MeV/$c^2$ and a width of (146.5 $\pm$ 7.4 $\pm$ 1.3) MeV, in agreement with those of the $Y(4390)$ state; the other resonance has a mass of (4706 $\pm$ 11 $\pm$ 4) MeV/$c^2$, a width of (45 $\pm$ 28 $\pm$ 9) MeV, and a statistical significance of $4.1$ standard deviations ($σ$). This is the first evidence for a vector state at this mass value. The spin-$3$ $D$-wave charmonium state $X(3842)$ is searched for through the $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}X(3842)\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}D^{+}D^{-}$ process, and evidence with a significance of $4.2σ$ is found in the data samples with center-of-mass energies from 4.600 to 4.700 GeV. △ Less

A partial wave analysis of $ψ(3686)\toΛ\barΛη$ shows that the peak around $Λη$ invariant mass threshold favors a $Λ^*$ resonance with mass and width in agreement with the $Λ(1670)$. The branching fraction of the $ψ(3686)\toΛ\barΛη$ is measured to be $(2.34\pm0.18\pm0.52)\times10^{-5}$. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. △ Less

The branching fraction of the decay is measured to be… ▽ More The measurement of the Cabibbo-favored semileptonic decay $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λe^+ν_e$ is reported using a $4.5~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ data sample of $e^+e^-$ annihilations collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600~GeV to 4.699~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of the decay is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λe^+ν_e)=(3.56\pm0.11_{\rm stat.}\pm0.07_{\rm syst.})\%$, which is the most precise measurement to date. Furthermore, we perform an investigation of the internal dynamics in $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λe^+ν_e$. We provide the first direct comparisons of the differential decay rate and form factors with those predicted from lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) calculations. Combining the measured branching fraction with a $q^2$-integrated rate predicted by LQCD, we determine $|V_{cs}|=0.936\pm0.017_{\mathcal{B}}\pm0.024_{\rm LQCD}\pm0.007_{τ_{Λ_c}}$. △ Less

We also report evidence of $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1520)e^+ν_e$ and $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1405)e^+ν_e$ with significances of $3.3σ$ and $3.2σ$, respectively, and measure $\mathcal B(Λ^+_c\rightarrow Λ(1520)e^+ν_e)=(1.02\pm0.52_{\rm stat.}\pm0.11_{\rm syst.})\times10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal B(Λ^+_c\rightarrow Λ(1405)[\rightarrow pK^-]e^+ν_e)=(0.42\pm0.19_{\rm stat.}\pm0.04_{\rm syst.})\times10^{-3}$. Combining these with the inclusive semileptonic $Λ_c^+$ branching fraction measured by BESIII, the relative fraction is determined to be $[\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-e^+ν_e)/\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow X e^+ν_e)]=(2.1\pm0.4_{\rm stat.}\pm0.2_{\rm syst.})\%$, which provides a clear confirmation that semileptonic $Λ_c^+$ decays are not saturated by the $Λ\ell^+ν_{\ell}$ final state. △ Less

Abstract: Based on a sample of 4.4 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation data collected in the energy region between 4.6 GeV and 4.7 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, two singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $Λ_c^+ \rightarrow Σ^0 K^+$ and $Λ_{c}^{+} \rightarrow Σ^+ K_{S}^0$ are studied. Pseudoscalar charmonium pair interactions via the Pomeron exchange mechanism

Abstract: Following the observation of the fully-heavy tetraquark candidates $X(6900)$ and possible $X(6300)$ in the di-$J/ψ$ spectrum by the LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the near-threshold dynamics of the pseudoscalar quarkonium pairs in a coupled-channel approach in the di-$η_c$ channel. We show that the Pomeron exchange mechanism should be a general dynamics in the near-threshold heavy quarkonium p… ▽ More Following the observation of the fully-heavy tetraquark candidates $X(6900)$ and possible $X(6300)$ in the di-$J/ψ$ spectrum by the LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the near-threshold dynamics of the pseudoscalar quarkonium pairs in a coupled-channel approach in the di-$η_c$ channel. We show that the Pomeron exchange mechanism should be a general dynamics in the near-threshold heavy quarkonium pair interactions. In the di-$η_c$ channel, a coupled-channel system involving the di-$η_c$, $η_c$-$η_c(2S)$ and di-$η_c(2S)$ interactions can be established. Their $S$-wave interactions near threshold via the Pomeron exchange potential can produce near-threshold resonance poles similar to the di-$J/ψ$, $J/ψ$-$ψ(2S)$ and di-$ψ(2S)$ coupled channels. Interestingly, we find here that the pole positions are more shifted to the corresponding thresholds and turn out to be different from those seen in the di-$J/ψ$ spectrum. Taking into account the suppression of the heavy quark spin flips in the transitions between two vector and two pseudoscalar heavy quarkonium systems, the enhancements in the di-$η_c$ spectrum should be different from those seen in the di-$J/ψ$ channel. Experimental study of the di-$η_c$ channel should be useful for disentangling the nature of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems. △ Less

By a simultaneous fit to the measured, center-of-mass energy dependent cross sections of the two processes, the combined quantities… ▽ More Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sets collected with the BESIII detector, we measure the cross sections of the processes $e^+e^- \to e^+e^-$ and $e^+e^- \to μ^+μ^-$ at fifteen center-of-mass energy points in the vicinity of the $J/ψ$ resonance. By a simultaneous fit to the measured, center-of-mass energy dependent cross sections of the two processes, the combined quantities $Γ_{ee} Γ_{ee} / Γ_{\rm tot}$ and $Γ_{ee} Γ_{μμ} / Γ_{\rm tot}$ are determined to be ($0.346 \pm 0.009$) and ($0.335 \pm 0.006$) keV, respectively, where $Γ_{ee}$, $Γ_{μμ}$, and $Γ_{\rm tot}$ are the electronic, muonic, and total decay widths of the $J/ψ$ resonance, respectively. Using the resultant $Γ_{ee} Γ_{μμ} / Γ_{\rm tot}$ and $Γ_{ee} Γ_{ee} / Γ_{\rm tot}$, the ratio $Γ_{ee} / Γ_{μμ}$ is calculated to be $1.031 \pm 0.015$, which is consistent with the expectation of lepton universality within about two standard deviations. Assuming lepton universality and using the branching fraction of the $J/ψ$ leptonic decay measured by BESIII in 2013, $Γ_{\rm tot}$ and $Γ_{ll}$ are determined to be ($93.0 \pm 2.1$) and ($5.56 \pm 0.11$) keV, respectively, where $Γ_{ll}$ is the average leptonic decay width of the $J/ψ$ resonance. △ Less

Two structures, identified as the $Y(4220)$ and the $Y(4320)$ states, are observed in the energy-dependent cross section with a significance larger than $10σ$. The masses and widths of the two structures are determined to be ($M, Γ$) = ($4221.4\pm1.5\pm2.0$ MeV/$c^{2}$, $41.8\pm2.9\pm2.7$ MeV) and ($M, Γ$) = ($4298\pm12\pm26$ MeV/$c^{2}$, $127\pm17\pm10$ MeV), respectively. A small enhancement around 4.5 GeV with a significance about $3σ$, compatible with the $ψ(4415)$, might also indicate the presence of an additional resonance in the spectrum. Here the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones systematic. The newly studied decays greatly enrich the knowledge of the $D\to \bar Kπππ$ and $D\to \bar Kππππ$ hadronic decays, and open a bridge to access more two-body hadronic $D$ decays containing scalar, vector, axial and tensor mesons in the charm sector. △ Less

The dominant intermediate process is $D_s^+ \to K^{*0}ρ^+$, with a fit fraction of $(40.5\pm2.8_{\rm{stat.}}\pm1.5_{\rm{syst.}})\%$. With the detection efficiency based on our amplitude analysis, the absolute branching fraction for $D_{s}^{+} \to K^+π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$ is measured to be $(9.75\pm0.54_{\rm{stat.}}\pm0.17_{\rm{syst.}})\times 10^{-3}$. △ Less

Abstract: From December 2019 to June 2021, the BESIII experiment collected about 5.85 fb$^{-1}$ of data at center-of-mass energies between 4.61 GeV and 4.95 GeV. This is the highest collision energy BEPCII has reached so far. The accumulated $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples are useful for studying charmonium(-like) states and charmed-hadron decays. By adopting a novel method of analyzing the production of… ▽ More From December 2019 to June 2021, the BESIII experiment collected about 5.85 fb$^{-1}$ of data at center-of-mass energies between 4.61 GeV and 4.95 GeV. This is the highest collision energy BEPCII has reached so far. The accumulated $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples are useful for studying charmonium(-like) states and charmed-hadron decays. By adopting a novel method of analyzing the production of $Λ_{c}^{+}\barΛ_{c}^{-}$ pairs in $e^+e^-$ annihilation, the center-of-mass energies are measured with a precision of $\sim$0.6 MeV. Integrated luminosities are measured with a precision of better than 1\% by analyzing the events of large-angle Bhabha scattering. Abstract: We study the processes $e^+e^-\rightarrow K^{0}_{\rm S}D_s^+D^{*-}$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow K^{0}_{\rm S}D_s^{*+}D^{-}$, as well as their charge conjugated processes, at five center-of-mass energies between 4.628~GeV and 4.699~GeV, using data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3.8~\rm{fb^{-1}}$ collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. Based on a partial recons… ▽ More We study the processes $e^+e^-\rightarrow K^{0}_{\rm S}D_s^+D^{*-}$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow K^{0}_{\rm S}D_s^{*+}D^{-}$, as well as their charge conjugated processes, at five center-of-mass energies between 4.628~GeV and 4.699~GeV, using data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3.8~\rm{fb^{-1}}$ collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. Based on a partial reconstruction technique, we find evidence of a structure near the thresholds for $D_s^+D^{*-}$ and $D_s^{*+}D^{-}$ production in the $K^{0}_{\rm S}$ recoil-mass spectrum, which we refer to as the $ Z_{cs}(3985)^0$. Fitting with a Breit-Wigner line shape, we find the mass of the structure to be $(3992.2\pm{1.7}\pm{1.6})~\rm{MeV}/c^2$ and the width to be $(7.7_{-3.8}^{+4.1}\pm{4.3})~\rm{MeV}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the $ Z_{cs}(3985)^0$ signal is found to be $4.6σ$ including both the statistical and systematic uncertainty. We report the Born cross section multiplied by the branching fraction at different energy points. The mass of the $Z_{cs}(3985)^0$ is close to that of the $Z_{cs}(3985)^+$. Assuming SU(3) symmetry, the cross section of the neutral channel is consistent with that of the charged one. Hence, we conclude that the $Z_{cs}(3985)^0$ is the isospin partner of the $Z_{cs}(3985)^+$. △ Less
