Java How To Reverse a String
Reverse a String
You can easily reverse a string by characters with the following example:
Example
String originalStr = "Hello";
String reversedStr = "";
for (int i = 0; i < originalStr.length(); i++) {
reversedStr = originalStr.charAt(i) + reversedStr;
}
System.out.println("Reversed string: "+ reversedStr);

Explanation: We start with an empty string reversedStr
.
- On each loop, we take one character from the original string using charAt()
.
- Instead of adding it to the end, we place it in front of the existing reversedStr
.
- This way, the characters are built in reverse order.
For example, from "Hello"
we get "olleH"
.
