Fermion Masses and Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking from a Single U(1) / Kaplan, D.Elazzar (Washington U., Seattle) ; Lepeintre, Francois (Washington U., Seattle) ; Masiero, Antonio (SISSA, Trieste ; INFN, Trieste) ; Nelson, Ann E. (Washington U., Seattle) ; Riotto, Antonio (CERN)
We present a supersymmetric model of flavor. A single U(1) gauge group is responsible for both generating the flavor spectrum and communicating supersymmetry breaking to the visible sector. [...]

$J/\psi$ suppression and the effect of quark flavor kinetics / Li Pan L ; Deng Cheng, F ; Wang Li, L ; Xu Meng, J
The dilepton spectrum emitted in the phase transition process of an expanding quark gluon plasma formed in the collisons of /sup 238/U- /sup 238/U and /sup 154/W-/sup 154/W at 200 GeV.(cu) is calculated by using the theoretical framework of relativistic hydrodynamics, including the effect of quark flavor kinetics, and phenomenological SU(3) string model is used in the calculation of the quark flavor kinetics. The calculated results are compared with the experimental data from the Center of European Research of Nucleon SPS and analysis is carried out. [...]

Light Non-degenerate Composite Partners at the LHC / Delaunay, Cédric (Annecy, LAPTH ; CERN) ; Flacke, Thomas (KAIST, Taejon) ; Gonzalez-Fraile, J. (ICC, Barcelona U. ; Barcelona U., ECM) ; Lee, Seung J. (KAIST, Taejon) ; Panico, Giuliano (CERN) ; Perez, Gilad (CERN ; Weizmann Inst.)
We study the implications of a large degree of compositeness for the light generation quarks in composite pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone-boson Higgs models. We focus in particular on viable scenarios where the right-handed up-type quarks have a sizable mixing with the strong dynamics. [...]
