Effect of thermal shear on longitudinal spin polarization in a thermal model / Florkowski, Wojciech (Jagiellonian U.) ; Kumar, Avdhesh (Indian Inst. Tech., Gandhinagar) ; Mazeliauskas, Aleksas (CERN) ; Ryblewski, Radoslaw (Cracow, INP)
By including the recently introduced thermal shear term that contributes to the spin polarization vector at local equilibrium, we determine longitudinal polarization of $\Lambda$ hyperons emitted from a hot and rotating hadronic medium using the thermal model with single freeze-out. In our analysis, we consider the RHIC top energies and use the model parameters which were determined in the earlier analyses of particle spectra and elliptic flow. [...]

Longitudinal spin polarization in a thermal model / Florkowski, Wojciech (Jagiellonian U.) ; Kumar, Avdhesh (Cracow, INP) ; Ryblewski, Radoslaw (Cracow, INP) ; Mazeliauskas, Aleksas (CERN)
We use a thermal model with single freeze-out to determine longitudinal polarization of $\Lambda$ hyperons emitted from a hot and rotating hadronic medium. We consider the top RHIC energies and use the model parameters determined in the previous analyses of particle spectra and elliptic flow. [...]

Associated top-pair production with a heavy boson production through NLO+NNLL accuracy at the LHC / Kulesza, Anna (Munster U., ITP) ; Motyka, Leszek (Jagiellonian U.) ; Schwartländer, Daniel (Munster U., ITP) ; Stebel, Tomasz (Cracow, INP) ; Theeuwes, Vincent (Gottingen U.)
In this talk we present results of our recent calculations of cross sections and distributions for the associate production of top-antitop quark pairs with a heavy boson (Higgs, W, Z) at the LHC, obtained using threshold resummation in direct QCD, i.e. in the Mellin-space approach..

Deep Neural Network application: Higgs boson CP state mixing angle in $H \to \tau \tau$ decay and at LHC / Lasocha, K. (Jagiellonian U. ; CERN) ; Richter-Was, E. (Jagiellonian U.) ; Sadowski, M. (Jagiellonian U.) ; Was, Z. (Cracow, INP)
The consecutive steps of cascade decay initiated by H to tau tau can be useful for the measurement of Higgs couplings and in particular of the Higgs boson parity. In the previous papers we have found, that multi-dimensional signatures of the tau^pm to pi^pm pi^0 nu and tau^pm to 3pi^pm nu decays can be used to distinguish between scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs state. Machine learning classification: case of Higgs boson CP state in H to tau tau$ decay at LHC / Lasocha, K. (Jagiellonian U. ; CERN) ; Richter-Was, E. (Jagiellonian U.) ; Tracz, D. (Jagiellonian U.) ; Was, Z. (Cracow, INP) ; Winkowska, P. (AGH-UST, Cracow)
Machine Learning (ML) techniques are rapidly finding a place among the methods of High Energy Physics data analysis. Different approaches are explored concerning how much effort should be put into building high-level variables based on physics insight into the problem, and when it is enough to rely on low-level ones, allowing ML methods to find patterns without explicit physics model. (Silesia U.) et al.
Differential cross sections for deuteron breakup $^{1}H(d, pp)n$ reaction were measured for a large set of 243 geometrical configurations at the beam energy of 80 MeV/nucleon. The cross section data are normalized by the luminosity factor obtained on the basis of simultaneous measurement of elastic scattering channel and the existing cross section data for this process. Higher order perturbations of Anti-de Sitter space and time-periodic solutions of vacuum Einstein equations / Rostworowski, Andrzej (Jagiellonian U. ; CERN)
Motivated by the problem of stability of Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime, we discuss nonlinear gravitational perturbations of maximally symmetric solutions of vacuum Einstein equations in general and the case of AdS in particular. We present the evidence that, similarly to the self-gravitating scalar field at spherical symmetry, the negative cosmological constant allows for the existence of globally regular, asymptotically AdS, time-periodic solutions of vacuum Einstein equations whose frequencies bifurcate from linear eigenfrequencies of AdS.
