Top-quark physics at the LHC / Kröninger, Kevin (Dortmund U.) ; Meyer, Andreas B (DESY) ; Uwer, Peter (Humboldt U., Berlin)
The top quark is the heaviest of all known elementary particles. It was discovered in 1995 by the CDF and D0 experiments at the Tevatron. [...]

The Higgs boson and the top quark: precision theory for the LHC and beyond / Grazzini, Massimiliano (speaker) (University of Zurich (CH))
The Higgs boson and the top quark are the heaviest elementary particles known to date. The study of their production and interaction is crucial to improve our understanding of the Standard Model, and can possibly open a window on new physics. [...]

Measurements of top quark production cross-sections with the ATLAS detector / Vanadia, Marco (INFN e Universita Roma Tor Vergata (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The LHC produces a vast sample of top quark pairs and single top quarks. Measurements of the inclusive top quark production rates at the LHC have reached a precision of several percent and test advanced Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order predictions in QCD. [...]

Next-to-next-to-leading order event generation for top-quark pair production / Mazzitelli, Javier (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN) ; Nason, Paolo (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Re, Emanuele (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Wiesemann, Marius (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Zanderighi, Giulia (Munich, Max Planck Inst.)
The production of top-quark pairs in hadronic collisions is among the most important reactions in modern particle physics phenomenology and constitutes an instrumental avenue to study the properties of the heaviest quark observed in nature. The analysis of this process at the Large Hadron Collider relies heavily on Monte Carlo simulations of the final state events, whose accuracy is challenged by the outstanding precision of experimental measurements. Top properties at ATLAS / Gabaldon, C (CERN)
The top-quark is the heaviest fundamental particle known, with a mass close to the electroweak symmetry breaking scale that constrains, together with the W mass, the Higgs boson mass. [...]

Measurements of cross-sections for top-quark pair-production with the ATLAS detector / Khoo, Teng Jian (Institut fuer Astro- und Teilchenphysik der Leopold-Franzens-Universitaet Innsbruck) /ATLAS Collaboration
Comprehensive measurements of differential cross-sections of top-quark-antiquark pair-production are presented. The measurements are performed in the electron-muon, the lepton+jets and the all-hadronic channels. [...]

Probing QCD Parameters with Top-Quark Data / Naumann-Emme, Sebastian (DESY) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Results from inclusive and differential measurements of the productioncross sections for top quarks in proton-proton collisions at center-of-massenergies of 7 and 8~TeV are compared to predictions at next-to-leadingand next-to-next-to-leading order in perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. From these studies, constraints on the top-quark mass, the strongcoupling constant, and on parton distribution functions are determined.T = Probing QCD parameters with top-quark data$

Top pair production measurements, inclusive and differential / Fernandez Menendez, Javier (Oviedo U.) /ATLAS, CMS and LHCB Collaborations
Recent results and state-of-the-art on top-quark pair production cross sections in both inclusive and differential measurements are presented, obtained using data collected with the ATLAS, CMS and LHCb experiments during the LHC Run1 and Run2 periods up to the year 2016 at centre-of-mass energies ranging from 5.02 to 13TeV. Results are confronted against Standard Model (SM) next-to-leading order (NLO) and next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) predictions, several Monte Carlo (MC) generators and tunes, and parton density function variations, with a special focus on the latest Run2 results..
