Recent QCD results from the xFitter project: Probing the strange content of the proton with charm production in charged current at LHeC / xFitter Developers Team Collaboration
We investigate charm production in charged-current deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) using the xFitter program. xFitter is an open-source software framework for the determination of PDFs and the analysis of QCD physics, and has been used for a variety of LHC studies. [...]

QCD analysis of pion fragmentation functions in the xFitter framework / Abdolmaleki, Hamed (IPM, Tehran) ; Soleymaninia, Maryam (IPM, Tehran) ; Khanpour, Hamzeh (USTM, Behshahr ; IPM, Tehran) ; Amoroso, Simone (DESY) ; Giuli, Francesco (INFN, Rome2 ; Rome U., Tor Vergata) ; Glazov, Alexander (DESY) ; Luszczak, Agnieszka (Cracow Tech. U.) ; Olness, Fredrick (Southern Methodist U.) ; Zenaiev, Oleksandr (CERN) /xfitter Developers’ Team
We present the first open-source analysis of fragmentation functions (FFs) of charged pions (entitled IPM-xFitter) computed at next-to-leading order (NLO) and next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) accuracy in perturbative QCD using the xFitter framework. This study incorporates a comprehensive and up-to-date set of pion production data from single-inclusive annihilation (SIA) processes, as well as the most recent measurements of inclusive cross-sections of single pion by the BELLE collaboration. High-$x$ quark density and their impact on $Z'$-boson dilepton searches t / Giuli, Francesco (CERN)
In this proceeding, we study the influence of theoretical systematic uncertainties due to the quark density on LHC experimental searches for $Z'$-bosons. Using an approach originally proposed in the context of the ABMP16 PDF set for the high-$x$ behaviour of the quark density, we presents results on differential cross section and Forward-Backward asymmetry observables commonly used to study $Z'$ signals in dilepton channels..

Exploring SMEFT couplings using the forward–backward asymmetry in neutral current Drell–Yan production at the LHC / Abdolmaleki, Hamed (IPM, Tehran ; Lorestan U.) ; Amoroso, Simone (DESY) ; Britzger, Daniel (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Dattola, Filippo (DESY) ; Fiaschi, Juri (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Giuli, Francesco (CERN) ; Glazov, Alexander (DESY) ; Hautmann, Francesco (CERN ; Antwerp U. ; Oxford U.) ; Luszczak, Agnieszka (Cracow Tech. Neutral current Drell-Yan (DY) lepton-pair production is considered in the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). Using the open-source fit platform xFitter, we investigate the impact of high-statistics measurements of the neutral current DY (NCDY) forward-backward asymmetry $A_{\rm{FB}}$ near the weak boson mass scale in the present and forthcoming stages of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Longitudinal Z-Boson Polarization and the Higgs Boson Production Cross Section at the Large Hadron Collider / Amoroso, S. (DESY) ; Fiaschi, J. (Liverpool U., Dept. Math. ; Munster U., ITP) ; Giuli, F. (CERN ; Rome U., Tor Vergata ; INFN, Rome) ; Glazov, A. (DESY) ; Hautmann, F. (Antwerp U. ; Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Zenaiev, O. (CERN)
Charged lepton pairs are produced copiously in high-energy hadron collisions via electroweak gauge boson exchange, and are one of the most precisely measured final states in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We propose that measurements of lepton angular distributions can be used to improve the accuracy of theoretical predictions for Higgs boson production cross sections at the LHC. [...]
