Dimuon production with a transversely-polarized target in pion-induced collisions at COMPASS / Townsend, April (Illinois U., Urbana (main)) /COMPASS Collaboration
The COMPASS experiment, located in the North Area of CERN, has the study of nucleon structure as one of its primary physics goals. In 2015 and 2018, COMPASS collected Drell-Yan and J/$\psi$ production data from the collisions of a 190 GeV $\pi^-$ beam with a transversely-polarized proton target and a tungsten target. [...]

Weighted transverse spin asymmetries in 2015 COMPASS Drell-Yan data / Matoušek, J. (INFN, Trieste ; Trieste U.) /COMPASS Collaboration
Muon pairs created in the Drell-Yan process of a negative pion beam of 190 GeV/c momentum impinging on a transversely polarised NH$_3$ target were detected with the COMPASS spectrometer at CERN in 2015. In addition to the extraction of the transverse spin asymmetries (TSAs) from these data, a complementary analysis of the TSAs weighted by powers of the dimuon momentum $q_T$ has been performed and is presented in this paper. [...]

Measurement of $q_T$-weighted TSAs in 2015 COMPASS Drell-Yan data / Matoušek, Jan (Charles U. ; INFN, Trieste) /COMPASS Collaboration
In the polarised Drell-Yan experiment at the COMPASS facility at CERN the beam of negatively-charged pions with 190 GeV/c momentum and intensity about $10^8$ pions/s interacted with transversely polarised NH$_3$ target. Muon pairs produced in Drell-Yan process (DY) were detected. [...]

Measurement of $\mathbf{q_T}$-weighted transverse-spin-dependent azimuthal asymmetries at COMPASS / Longo, Riccardo (Illinois U., Urbana (main)) /COMPASS Collaboration
COMPASS is a fixed-target experiment in operation at the CERN North Area (SPS, M2 beam-line) since 2002. An important part of the broad physics programme of the experiment is dedicated to the exploration of the transverse spin-structure of the nucleon studying target transverse spin dependent azimuthal asymmetries (TSAs) arising in the Semi-Inclusive DIS (SIDIS) and Drell-Yan (DY) cross-sections. Drell-Yan measurements at the COMPASS experiment / Meyer-Conde, Marco (Illinois U., Urbana) /COMPASS Collaboration
In 2015 and 2018 the COMPASS experiment at CERN measured muon-pair production in the Drell-Yan (DY) and J/Psi channels using a 190 GeV $\pi^-$ beam impinging on a transversely polarized NH$_3$ and unpolarized nuclear targets ($^{27}$Al, $^{184}$W). Apart from the absolute cross-section measurements for both processes, COMPASS studies also the target spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in both channels. [...]

First measurement of transverse-spin-dependent azimuthal asymmetries in the Drell-Yan process / Parsamyan, Bakur (CERN)
The COMPASS experiment at CERN, as part of its programme addresses the exploration of the transverse spin structure of the nucleon by measuring spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive DIS and, recently, also in Drell-Yan processes. Between 2002 and 2010 COMPASS performed a series of SIDIS measurements, using a longitudinally polarized muon beam impinging on transversely polarized $^6LiD$ or $NH_3$ targets. [...]

Polarised Drell-Yan measurements at COMPASS-II / Zemlyanichkina, Elena (Dubna, JINR) /COMPASS Collaboration
The spin structure of the nucleon including the Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs) is an im- portant subject studied by the COMPASS experiment at CERN (SPS). The transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMD PDFs) of the proton and deuteron from Semi- Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) have been studied so far. [...]

Successful realization of polarized Drell-Yan physics program is one of the main goals of the second stage of the COMPASS experiment. Drell-Yan measurements with high energy (190 GeV/c) pion beam and transversely polarized NH3 target have been initiated by a pilot-run in the October 2014 and will be followed by 140 days of data taking in 2015. The Drell-Yan measurement at COMPASS-II / Takekawa, S (INFN, Trieste)
The Drell-Yan process can be used to access Transverse Momentum Dependent Parton Distribu- tion Functions (TMD PDFs), such as the Sivers and the Boer-Mulders functions, as well as the transversity function providing complementary information to what is known from Semi Inclu- sive Deep Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) data. The COMPASS experiment offers the possibility to study single polarized Drell-Yan processes making use of its large accep- tance spectrometer and its unique transversely polarised proton target [...]
