The Ring Imaging Cherenkov detector of the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is a key element of particle identification in the NA62 experimental strategy. The detector fulfills different conditions: to distinguish pions from muons with a muon rejection factor of O(10$^2$) in the NA62 momentum range of operation, between 15 and 35 GeV/c; to measure particle arrival time in the decay region with a precision better than 100 ps; to provide fast signals and reference time to the NA62 trigger system. The role of the NA62 RICH in the $BR(K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar\nu)$ measurement
/ Volpe, R (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence ; Louvain U., CP3) ; Anzivino, G (Perugia U. ; INFN, Perugia) ; Aisa, D (Perugia U. ; INFN, Perugia) ; Barbanera, M (INFN, Perugia) ; Bizzarri, M (Perugia U. ; INFN, Perugia) ; Bizzeti, A (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence ; Modena U.) ; Brizioli, F (Perugia U. ; INFN, Perugia) ; Bucci, F (INFN, Florence) ; Campeggi, C (Perugia U. ; INFN, Perugia) ; Carassiti, V (INFN, Ferrara) et al.
The NA62 experiment aims to measure the $BR$($K^+$ $\rightarrow$ $\pi^+$ $v$ $\overline{v}$) with a 10% precision. One of the main backgrounds comes from the decay $K^+$ $\rightarrow$ $\mu^+$ $v$ , therefore a highly powerful pion/muon separation is needed. [...]

The Ring Imaging Cherenkov detector is crucial for the identification of charged particles in the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS. The detector commissioning was completed in 2016 by the precise alignment of mirrors using reconstructed tracks. [...]

The direct measurement of the cosmic-ray spectrum, up to the knee region, is one of the instrumental challenges for next generation space experiments. The main issue for these measurements is a steeply falling spectrum with increasing energy, so the physics performance of the space calorimeters are primarily determined by their geometrical acceptance and energy resolution. The forward η mesons production has been observed by the Large Hadron Collider forward (LHCf) experiment in proton-proton collision at √s=13 TeV. This paper presents the measurement of the inclusive production rate of η in pT < 1.1 GeV/c, expressed as a function of the Feynman-x variable. [...]

The integrated low-level trigger and readout system of the CERN NA62 experiment
/ Ammendola, R. (INFN, Rome2) ; Angelucci, B. (Pisa U.) ; Barbanera, M. (INFN, Pisa) ; Biagioni, A. (INFN, Rome) ; Cerny, V. (Comenius U.) ; Checcucci, B. (INFN, Perugia) ; Fantechi, R. (INFN, Pisa) ; Gonnella, F. (Frascati) ; Koval, M. (Comenius U.) ; Krivda, M. (Birmingham U.) et al.
The integrated low-level trigger and data acquisition (TDAQ) system of the NA62 experiment at CERN is described. The requirements of a large and fast data reduction in a high-rate environment for a medium-scale, distributed ensemble of many different sub-detectors led to the concept of a fully digital integrated system with good scaling capabilities.
