Realistic simulations of the AGATA Demonstrator plus PRISMA spectrometer
/ Ince, E (Istanbul Univ, Hasan Ali Yucel Educ Fac, Istanbul, Turkey.) ; Pollarolo, G (Univ Turin, Dipartimento Fis Teor, Turin, Italy. ; INFN, Turin) ; Latina, A (CERN) ; Farnea, E (Ist Nazl Fis Nucl, Sez Padova, Padua, Italy.) ; Erduran, M N (Istanbul Univ, Fac Sci, Istanbul, Turkey.)
The performance of the AGATA Demonstrator Array coupled to the PRISMA magnetic spectrometer has been evaluated consistently by using detailed Monte Carlo simulations of the two devices. Results for the multi-nucleon transfer reaction Ca-48+Pb-208 at 310 MeV beam energy are presented and discussed in this study. [...]

The Extreme Energy Events (EEE) Project is devoted to the study of extremely high energy cosmic rays by means of an array of particle detectors distributed all over the Italian territory. Each element of the array (called telescope in the following) is installed in a High School, with the further goal to introduce students to particle and astroparticle physics, and consists of three Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPC), that have excellent time resolution and good tracking capability. Impact of NBTI Aging on the Single-Event Upset of SRAM Cells
/ Bagatin, M (Univ Padua, RREACT Grp, Dipartimento Ingn Informaz, I-35131 Padua, Italy.) ; Faccio, Federico (CERN) ; Gerardin, Simone (Univ Padua, RREACT Grp, Dipartimento Ingn Informaz, I-35131 Padua, Italy. ; Ist Nazl Fis Nucl, I-35131 Padua, Italy.) ; Paccagnella, Alessandro (Univ Padua, RREACT Grp, Dipartimento Ingn Informaz, I-35131 Padua, Italy. ; Ist Nazl Fis Nucl, I-35131 Padua, Italy.) ; Bagatin, Marta (Univ Padua, RREACT Grp, Dipartimento Ingn Informaz, I-35131 Padua, Italy. ; Ist Nazl Fis Nucl, I-35131 Padua, Italy.)
We analyzed the impact of negative bias temperature instability (NBTI) on the single-event upset rate of SRAM cells through experiments and SPICE simulations. We performed critical charge simulations introducing different degradation patterns in the cells, in three technology nodes, from 180 to 90 nm. [...]

Penning transfer in argon-based gas mixtures

Penning transfers, a group of processes by which excitation energy is used to ionise the gas, increase the gas gain in some detectors. Both the probability that such transfers occur and the mechanism by which the transfer takes place, vary with the gas composition and pressure. [...]
