Characterisation of the n_TOF 20 m beam line at CERN with the new spallation target / n_TOF Collaboration
The n_TOF facility hosts CERN’s pulsed neutron source, comprising two beam lines of different flight paths and one activation station. It is based on a proton beam delivered by the PS accelerator impinging on a lead spallation target. [...]

First high resolution measurement of neutron capture resonances in 176Yb at the n_TOF CERN facility / n_TOF Collaboration
Several international agencies recommend the study of new routes and new facilities for producing radioisotopes with application to nuclear medicine. $^{177}$Lu is a versatile radioisotope used for therapy and diagnosis (theranostics) of cancer with good success in neuroendocrine tumours that is being studied to be applied to a wider range of tumours. The n_TOF NEAR Station Commissioning and first physics case / n_TOF Collaboration
The NEAR Station is a new experimental area developed at the n_TOF Facility at CERN. The activation station of NEAR underwent a characterization of the beam following the installation of the new n_TOF Spallation Target. [...]

Destruction of the cosmic $\gamma$-ray emitter $^{26}$Al in massive stars: Study of the key $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ reaction / n_TOF Collaboration
The  $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ $^{26}$Mg reaction is the key reaction impacting on the abundances of the cosmic  γ -ray emitter  $^{26}$Al  produced in massive stars and impacts on the potential pollution of the early solar system with  $^{26}$Al  by asymptotic giant branch stars. We performed a measurement of the  $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ $^{26}$Mg  cross section at the high-flux beam line EAR-2 at the n_TOF facility (CERN). [...]

A Segmented Total Energy Detector (sTED) optimized for $(n,\gamma)$ cross-section measurements at n_TOF EAR2 / n_TOF Collaboration
The neutron time-of-flight facility n_TOF at CERN is a spallation source dedicated to measurements of neutron-induced reaction cross-sections of interest in nuclear technologies, astrophysics, and other applications. Since 2014, Experimental ARea 2 (EAR2) is operational and delivers a neutron fluence of $4\times 10^7$ neutrons per nominal proton pulse, which is 50 times higher than the one of Experimental ARea 1 (EAR1) of $8\times10^5$ neutrons per pulse. Measurement of the $^{14}$N(n,p)$^{14}$C cross section at the CERN n_TOF facility from sub-thermal energy to 800 keV / n_TOF Collaboration
Background: The $^{14}$N(n,p)$^{14}$C reaction is of interest in neutron capture therapy, where nitrogen-related dose is the main component due to low-energy neutrons, and in astrophysics, where 14N acts as a neutron poison in the s-process. Several discrepancies remain between the existing data obtained in partial energy ranges: thermal energy, keV region and resonance region. [...]

Status report of the n_TOF facility after the 2nd CERN long shutdown period / Patronis, N (Ioannina U. ; CERN) ; Mengoni, A (ENEA, Bologna ; INFN, Bologna) ; Goula, S (Ioannina U.) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Altieri, S (INFN, Pavia ; Brescia U. ; Pavia U.) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, Catania) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Babiano-Suarez, V (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN) et al.
During the second long shutdown period of the CERN accelerator complex (LS2, 2019-2021), several upgrade activities took place at the n_TOF facility. The most important have been the replacement of the spallation target with a next generation nitrogen-cooled lead target. [...]

Challenging neutron-capture cross-section measurements of small cross sections and samples with a very limited number of atoms require high-flux time-of-flight facilities. In turn, such facilities need innovative detection setups that are fast, have low sensitivity to neutrons, can quickly recover from the so-called $\gamma$-flash, and offer the highest possible detection sensitivity. Experimental setup and procedure for the measurement of the $^7$Be(n,p)$^7$Li reaction at n_TOF / n_TOF Collaboration
Following the completion of the second neutron beam line and the related experimental area (EAR2) at the n_TOF spallation neutron source at CERN, several experiments were planned and performed. The high instantaneous neutron flux available in EAR2 allows to investigate neutron indiced reactions with charged particles in the exit channel even employing targets made out of small amounts of short-lived radioactive isotopes.
