First observation and study of the $K^{\pm} \rightarrow \pi^{0} \pi^{0} \mu^{\pm} \nu$ decay / NA48/2 Collaboration
The NA48/2 experiment at CERN reports the first observation of the $K^{\pm} \rightarrow \pi^{0} \pi^{0} \mu^{\pm} \nu$ decay based on a sample of 2437 candidates with 15% background contamination collected in 2003-2004. The decay branching ratio in the kinematic region of the squared dilepton mass above $0.03$~GeV$^2/c^4$ is measured to be $(0.65 \pm 0.03) \times 10^{-6}$. [...]

A new detector exploiting the technology of Gas Electron Multipliers is under construction to replace the innermost drift chamber of BESIII experiment, since its efficiency is compromised owing the high luminosity of Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The new inner tracker with a cylindrical shape will deploy several new features. [...]

Gas detector are very light instrument used in high energy physics to measure the particle properties: position and momentum. Through high electric field is possible to use the Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) technology to detect the charged particles and to exploit their properties to construct a large area detector, such as the new IT for BESIII. Measurement of the form factors of charged kaon semileptonic decays / NA48/2 Collaboration
A measurement of the form factors of charged kaon semileptonic decays is presented, based on $4.4 \times 10^{6}$ $K^\pm \to \pi^0 e^\pm \nu_e$ ($K^\pm_{e3}$) and $2.3 \times 10^{6}$ $K^\pm \to \pi^0 \mu^\pm \nu_\mu$ ($K^\pm_{\mu3}$) decays collected in 2004 by the NA48/2 experiment. The results are obtained with improved precision as compared to earlier measurements. [...]

Model-independent confirmation of the $Z(4430)^-$ state / LHCb collaboration
The decay $B^0\to \psi(2S) K^+\pi^-$ is analyzed using $\rm 3~fb^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data collected with the LHCb detector. A model-independent description of the $\psi(2S) \pi$ mass spectrum is obtained, using as input the $K\pi$ mass spectrum and angular distribution derived directly from data, without requiring a theoretical description of resonance shapes or their interference. Search for the lepton flavour violating decay $\tau^-\to \mu^-\mu^+\mu^-$ / LHCb Collaboration
A search for the lepton flavour violating decay $\tau^-\rightarrow\mu^-\mu^+\mu^-$ is performed with the LHCb experiment. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{−1}$ of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV and 2.0 fb$^{−1}$ at 8 TeV. [...]

Measurement of the CP-violating phase $\phi_s$ in $\bar{B}^{0}_{s}\to D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-}$ decays / LHCb collaboration
We present a measurement of the $CP$-violating weak mixing phase $\phi_s$ using the decay $\bar{B}^{0}_{s}\to D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-}$ in a data sample corresponding to $3.0$ fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity collected with the LHCb detector in $pp$ collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. An analysis of the time evolution of the system, which does not constrain $|\lambda|=1$ to allow for the presence of $CP$ violation in decay, yields $\phi_s = 0.02 \pm 0.17$ (stat) $\pm 0.02$ (syst) rad, $|\lambda| = 0.91^{+0.18}_{-0.15}$ (stat) $\pm0.02$ (syst). Measurement of the $\eta_c (1S)$ production cross-section in proton-proton collisions via the decay $\eta_c (1S) \rightarrow p \bar{p}$ / LHCb collaboration
The production of the $\eta_c (1S)$ state in proton-proton collisions is probed via its decay to the $p \bar{p}$ final state with the LHCb detector, in the rapidity range $2.0 < y < 4.5$ and in the meson transverse-momentum range $p_T > 6.5$ GeV/c. The cross-section for prompt production of $\eta_c (1S)$ mesons relative to the prompt $J/\psi$ cross-section is measured, for the first time, to be $\sigma_{\eta_c (1S)}/\sigma_{J/\psi} = 1.74 \pm 0.29 \pm 0.28 \pm 0.18 _{B}$ at a centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.7 fb$^{-1}$, and $\sigma_{\eta_c (1S)}/\sigma_{J/\psi} = 1.60 \pm 0.29 \pm 0.25 \pm 0.17 _{B}$ at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV using 2.0 fb$^{-1}$. Measurements of $C\!P$ violation in the three-body phase space of charmless $B^{\pm}$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
Additional abstract: The additional document presents figures of the projections into the two-body invariant masses of the spectra of $B^{\pm} \to K^{\pm}\pi^+\pi^-, B^{\pm} \to K^{\pm}K^+K^-, B^{\pm} \to \pi^{\pm} K^+ K^-$ and $B^{\pm} \to \pi^{\pm} \pi^+ \pi^-$ decays. The figures show additional information related to the CP asymmetry in phase space, for section VII of the article Physical Review D 90, 112004 (2014)..
