IRMSA's President and CEO recently attended the FERMA Conference in Madrid Spain to participate in the IFRIMA – The International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations Board meeting. Bheki Gutshwa and Yvonne Mothibi met with IFRIMA President Franck Baron to discuss how IFRIMA can support the development of a Pan African Federation for Risk Management Association (FARMA) and shape the future of risk management on the continent. As a proud board member of the international body, IRMSA represents Africa on IFRIMA's Executive Committee. As a former Minister of Finance, Tito's impact transcended conventional financial spheres. He advocated for the significance of risk management as an essential element of proficient governance and decision-making. His steadfast dedication to heightening awareness of risk and fostering strategic deliberation has resonated within both public and private sector domains, underscoring the necessity for resilient frameworks to navigate intricate economic trials. Tito has played a pivotal role in guiding South Africa’s economy through a volatile and unprecedented risk terrain. His tenure, characterized by deliberate reforms and fiscal prudence, has wielded a lasting influence on the nation's financial resilience and trajectory of advancement.
