US extends AD order on China’s non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings

On December 19, 2024, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) made its final affirmative determination of the fourth anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings from China, ruling that the withdrawal of the existing AD order on the subject products from China would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.

As a result of the USITC’s affirmative determination, the existing AD order on imports of the products involved will continue to be effective, with an extension of another five years.

The subject products are finished and unfinished non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings with an inside diameter from 1/4 inch to 6 inches, whether threaded or unthreaded, regardless of industry or proprietary specifications. These products are classified under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) codes 7307.11.00.30, 7307.11.00.60, 7307.19.30.60, and 7307.19.30.85.
