HTML Button: Step-by-Step Guide

The form attribute has linked our button to the form with the id value pizza. So, when we click our button, our form with the id pizza will be submitted.

Formaction

formaction specifies the URL of a program that will process the information submitted by the button. This attribute can only be used if the type attribute in your button is equal to submit.

Here’s an example of the formaction attribute in use:

Formenctype

The formenctype attribute specifies how the form data should be encoded when it is submitted to the server. This attribute should only be used when using the “method=’post’” attribute in your form.

Formmethod

formmethod is used to specify the HTTP method the browser will use to submit the form. This attribute should only be used with the “type=’submit’” attribute.

The two accepted values for the formmethod attribute are get and post. If you want to retrieve information or execute a HTTP GET function, you should use get; if you want to send information or execute a HTTP POST function, you should use post.

Here’s the syntax for the formmethod attribute:

Formnovalidate

formnovalidate is used to specify that the form data should not be validated when it is submitted. For example, if you want to accept a user’s input even if they have not filled out all fields, you should use the formnovalidate attribute.

Formtarget
