One of the most awkward social media experiences is to go through the photos you posted years ago when you were younger, more restless, and eager to impress. Now, when you look back, you cringe in dismay.
You may want to get rid of it, but it's just too much work to delete them one by one. Nobody has the patience to go back 10 years in time to delete everything stupid that they posted painstakingly. This should no longer be a problem since Instagram has finally made it easier to do it in bulk.
Instagram Unlocks Bulk Deletion for Everyone
In December 2021, Instagram started testing a new feature that lets users see and delete all their activity on Instagram in one place called "Your activity." The platform initially started testing this feature with its younger audience, as they're more sensitive about their image.
However, these bulk deletion tools are now available to everyone worldwide, as stated in the Instagram Blog.
You can now use these tools to delete or archive all your content. This includes posts, stories, videos, and Reels. It also includes all your interactions, namely comments, likes, story sticker reactions, and others.
You will also be able to find content that you've recently deleted or archived, review your search history, and see the links you've visited.
How to Bulk Delete Your Instagram Content
As mentioned earlier, you can bulk delete unwanted Instagram photos, videos, likes, and comments from the Your activity section. Follow these simple instructions:

- Head over to your Instagram profile from your profile thumbnail at the lower-right corner of the app.
- Next, tap on the three dashes at the upper-right corner bring up the context menu on your screen.
- Here, select Your activity.
- Now, you'll have access to plenty of options, but to bulk delete content, you only need to focus on Photos and videos and Interactions.
- Lastly, review the unwanted content and tap on the Select button at the upper-right corner of your screen.
Once you start tapping the items you want to remove, you'll see the Delete button at the bottom of the screen. Use it when you're ready to bulk delete unwanted content from your Instagram account.
Take Control of Your Instagram Content
These tools promise to give you more control over your activity and help you clean up your Instagram footprint more easily. You finally have an easier time deleting cringe-worthy Instagram posts from your high school and college days before your colleagues see them. Oh, and don't forget those embarrassing comments you probably made when you were young too.
