Dear community,

I would like to present to you Nikki for your consideration for adminship on Wikidata. Nikki has been very active on Wikidata, and has made more than 74000 edits in total. I noticed that Nikki has been clerking RfD very frequently, and it would be useful if he is given the tools, as he is able to do admin actions on his own. I also feel that Nikki has met all the requirements to be an administrator as he is frequently involved in administrative areas and has done a lot of countervandalism work. He is a native speaker of Britian English, and has advanced knowledge of German and basic knowledge of Japanese. In addition, Nikki is a precise, compliant, conscentious and level-headed worker I hope the community shares the same impressions as me. Thank you.   12.  Support -- By the way, while I would generally take Nikki (spelled that way) to be a female name, one can use markup like {{gender:Nikki|him|her|him/her/they}} to get the right answer, provided the target user has identified {{gender:Nikki|himself|herself|him/her/itself}} ... which Nikki hasn't done.   • I'm slightly concerned by the low editcount on other Wikimedia projects (<1000 for all other projects combined). May I ask, what admin-specific tasks do you plan to take up on Wikidata? Deryck Chan (talk) 13:27, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • I help patrol recent changes and monitor WD:RFD (even though I can't delete things right now, lots of things there can be redirected instead of deleted) pretty much every day, so the two things I'm most interested in are being able to delete items which are clearly nonsense/spam and being able to temporarily semi-protect pages which are attracting a lot of vandalism. It's true that I'm not very active on other projects, I like structured data! That's why this request is here at Wikidata though and not at another project where I'm not active. :) - Nikki (talk) 15:29, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
